Werule A global digital platform on a mission to help founders connect to best in class mentorship via live OUR STORY

Everyone has a story to tell and so do we. How?

WE RULE was founded back in 2015 and the world was a much different place back then. A few platforms like WE Rule existed, but we were truly the pioneers in championing diverse voices from all over the world. In fact, we are the first platform that is still operating today that was the first to feature diverse stories of female founders and it’s something we take pride in. WE RULE started as a wa

y for our founder Justyna Kedra to get to know everything there is to know about being a founder. She knew that one day she wanted to have her own business, so she decided to get an inside scoop from founders from all kinds of backgrounds an industries. She wanted to learn all the ups and the downs, so when she’s ready she can start her own journey she has great entrepreneurs who can mentor her. This is how our website was born. Justyna wanted to share the insights she learned with the world and soon the world took notice. We started getting emails from all over the US and soon the entire world. Today, we’re a platform where we feature founders - you can easily browse them all in the “all features“ section. We also connect our network to some of the best people and opportunities out there. Join our network today and we’ll make sure to send you opportunities that come our way! Just email your elevator pitch and website to [email protected]! THE FOUNDER

Eunice Johnson is the ultimate blueprint for what we call Sovereign Strategy.

In the 1950s, the gatekeepers of Parisian high fashion tried to ignore her. They were hesitant to sell their couture to a Black woman from Chicago. But Eunice didn’t waste a single breath asking for permission.
She showed up with a checkbook and a refusal to be intimidated.

She became one of the largest private buyers of haute couture in the world, buying entire collections at full price. Suddenly, the designers who ignored her were competing for her attention.

Eunice knew that Aesthetics are Information. By putting Black models in the world’s most elite garments, she sent a message that was louder than any protest. She proved that the more you double down on your own excellence, the more the world has to move for you.

She didn’t just find talent like Pat Cleveland, she built the infrastructure for them to be seen as icons.

The Lesson: Stop waiting to be discovered. Build the room, control the stage, and let them come to you. 💕🩰

NYC afternoons hit different with people who are on the same vibe as you.🗽✨

We spent the best afternoon catching up with Julia and Szymon from AI Rev while they were in the city. There is nothing like a real world hang to remind us why we do what we do.

We are so lucky to collaborate with visionaries who don’t just geek out over tech but actually care about the humans behind the mission. Their incredible team back at HQ are the ones who built our MVP. We loved every single second of working with those brilliant minds and we honestly cannot wait to build more together in the future.

If you are looking for AI developers who are the real deal and bring a genuine soul to their work, these are your people. Building the future is just better when you do it with friends. 🥂🩰

“Stephens did not start with a business plan. She started with a blender.”

In 2011, Janell Stephens was a “Kitchen Chemist” trying to cure her children’s severe eczema. Today, she is the CEO of Camille Rose, a global empire built on 100% ownership and zero compromise.

While most founders are racing toward a corporate exit, Janell is doing the opposite. She has refused every offer to sell out, choosing instead to build a Culture Brand that answers only to her community—affectionately known as “The Rosettes”.

The WERULE Takeaway: Ownership isn’t just about the cap table. It’s about integrity. By retaining control, she’s expanded Camille Rose from hair care into a total lifestyle authority, including HOME and FACE collections.

She is not building to flip. She is building to last.

Who is in your corner?

January is National Mentoring Month, but we need to talk about the future of leadership.

In a world run by algorithms and “virtual assistants,” human connection has become the ultimate luxury. You can automate your emails, but you cannot automate the trust, nuance, and expansion that comes from a great mentor.

We are spotlighting 6 Inspiring Programs that understand this. These aren’t just corporate initiatives; they are ecosystems designed to build the next generation of gamechangers.

From Chanel’s cultural patronage to Tory Burch’s economic empowerment and Women.NYC’s push for green innovation. These programs are bridging the gap between digital strategy and human soul.

The future belongs to those who collaborate.

“Mother Nature is the ultimate Chief Creative Officer.”

In a world of fast fashion and instant delivery, Flamingo Estate is betting on the one thing you can’t download. Patience.

Founder Richard Christiansen turned a hillside garden into a global phenomenon by proving that the new luxury isn’t about status. It is about connection.

He isn’t just selling $80 soap. He is selling an exit strategy from the digital world. He is selling the permission to slow down, get your hands dirty, and eat something that was grown with rigorous care.

The strategy? Radical Pleasure.

Sustainability shouldn’t feel like a sacrifice. It should feel like the most indulgent thing you do all day.
We deconstruct the business behind the bees on the blog.

“Being early is indistinguishable from being wrong.” — but only for a little while.

In 2020, luxury modest fashion platform The Modist shut its doors. The industry called it a failure. We call it a Blueprint.

The Modist didn’t fail because the customer wasn’t there. It failed because it was carrying the burden of educating a market that wasn’t ready to listen.
Today, the modest fashion market is exploding.

The lesson? The startup graveyard is full of billion-dollar ideas that just showed up too soon. The smartest founders aren’t trying to invent something new. They are looking at what “failed” yesterday and asking: “Is the world ready for this now?”

Don’t bury good ideas. Resurrect them.

“We hated the stereotype of the depressive, minimalist Scandi girl.” — Ditte Reffstrup 🐆✨

When Ditte and Nicolaj Reffstrup took over , they were told that to be a “cool” Danish brand, you had to be boring. You had to be beige. You had to be minimal.

So they did the opposite.

They built a brand on confidence, color, and chaos. They didn’t chase trends; they chased a feeling. The result? They didn’t just build a clothing company; they built a global cult.

The “Ganni Girl” isn’t a demographic. It’s not about being the perfect influencer. It’s about a state of mind riding a bike in a dress, mixing leopard print with sneakers, and not taking yourself too seriously.

The WERULE Takeaway: Your “brand” isn’t your logo. It’s who your customer becomes when they use your product. Ganni didn’t sell clothes. They sold the confidence to be the most colorful person in the room.

We deconstruct their entire “Anti-Minimalist” playbook on the blog. Link in bio or go to we-rule.com/blog

In his legendary lecture at Harvard’s Graduate School of Design, Virgil Abloh revealed his “Cheat Codes” for building a global brand.

His biggest secret? The Power of the Signature.
Abloh argued that you don’t need to invent a new object every time you create. You just need a “Signature”, which is a distinct visual or intellectual code that you can apply to anything to make it yours.

For Virgil, it was the 3% Rule. He took a Nike Air Jordan, an object that already existed, and changed it by just 3%. He added the Zip Tie. He put “AIR” in quotes.

He didn’t reinvent the shoe. He signed it.

This is the lesson for every founder in 2025. In a noisy world, subtlety gets lost. You need a code so distinct that people recognize your work before they even see your logo. You need a lens, not just a product.

Stop trying to be “creative” every single day. Find your Zip Tie. And then put it on everything.

We are living in the age of the “Great Averaging.”

Open your phone. Scroll through your feed. Do you notice it? The faces are starting to look the same (poreless, symmetrical, racially ambiguous). The writing sounds the same (confident, structured, slightly robotic). The interior design, the branding, the career advice… it is all drifting toward a perfectly optimized center.

This isn’t an accident. It is the mathematical inevitability of the Algorithm.

Generative AI models are trained on the average of everything humanity has ever created. When asked to create, they predict the most likely next pixel or the most statistically probable next word. They push us toward the median. They smooth out the edges. They fix the “errors.”

But in a world where “perfect” can be generated in seconds for free, perfection is no longer valuable. It is a commodity.

To be your own muse in 2026 is no longer just a creative exercise; it is an act of rebellion. It is a refusal to be optimized. It is the understanding that your quirks, your scars, and your unpolished thoughts are not bugs to be fixed—they are the only luxury left.

Fame gets you the first click. Operations get you the billion-dollar valuation.

There is a misconception that SKIMS and Good American are just “celebrity brands.” But the secret weapon behind these unicorns isn’t just the Kardashian name. It’s Emma Grede.

We deep-dived into her career to deconstruct how she built an empire by arbitraging authenticity.

While the fashion industry treated inclusivity like a charity project, Emma treated it like a growth strategy. She looked at the math, realized legacy brands were ignoring the average American woman (size 16), and built a logistical moat around serving her.

She didn’t just pitch a celebrity endorsement; she pitched a solution to a massive market inefficiency.

We broke down her 3-part playbook on the WERULE blog:

1️⃣ Why inclusivity is a hard business metric
2️⃣ How to pitch a problem, not a person
3️⃣ Why operations are the real brand moat.
