Building Champions is a social group for our FDLRS/CARD constituents. This group helps build trust, respect, and peer connections with a focus on leadership skills and team building skills. The purpose of this group is to encourage boys to make healthy choices that can lead to positive growth. The group will meet virtually for eight weeks. Open to Boys in 6-8th grade.

We’re looking for presenters that are willing to share what they know about topics of interest to people with disabilities with attendees at The 26th Annual Family Cafe. If you or someone you know is interested in presenting, we want to hear from you!

We want to make sure our kiddos are ready to enter school. The “DATA Model” is one of the tools we love to use as it helps targets various skills. It’s very helpful as well to use during parent training sessions.

Timing is everything, when this started we wanted to get the kids on the plane!!! Our second tour was delayed but thanks to the HEAL Foundation we were able to get our next participants for our tour this upcoming week. The Jacksonville Aviation Authority went out there way after hearing the purpose of the tour and found an airline that will let our kids on the plane this week. Thank you South West Airlines.

UF Health Neurodevelopmental Pediatrics presents:

FALL FAMILY FUN

October 26, 2023
6:00pm to 8:00pm

Location: Neurodevelopmental Pediatric Center, 6271 St. Augustine Rd., Suite 1, Jacksonville, FL 32217

This event is offered at no cost to the family or individual.

A fun event for families to come through our center to indulge in fall related activities and games. We welcome all disabilities and promote inclusivity. The UF Health Neurodevelopmental Pediatric Center houses the Center for Autism and Related Disabilities (CARD), the Florida Diagnostic Learning and Resources-Multidisciplinary Center (FDLRS-MDC) and the developmental pediatric clinic. We will have a variety of vendors present who will make up "Trick or Treat" lane, providing treats and/or an activity for those attending along with providing families with resources. Our staff will also be on site to provide support as needed.

NEW THIS YEAR: Families will have an opportunity to leave their "imprint" for our upcoming partnership with Deck the Chairs of Jacksonville Beach. We want to include our families in the design of our chair and are excited for this upcoming holiday event!

So please come out and enjoy! Feel free to wear costumes. Looking forward to seeing you!
