Role Overview

The developer will help modernize existing Power BI reports and dashboards into web-based applications within a Microsoft Azure environment.

You should be comfortable working with Power BI, SQL databases, APIs, frontend and backend development, and Azure cloud services.

Key Responsibilities
Review and understand existing Power BI reports, dashboards, DAX, Power Query, and data models
Convert Power BI reporting solutions into modern web applications
Build and maintain applications hosted in Microsoft Azure
Work with Azure SQL Database / Microsoft SQL Server
Develop APIs and backend services
Build responsive dashboards and user interfaces using React, Angular, or similar technologies
Integrate applications with Microsoft and third-party systems
Optimize SQL queries, databases, and application performance
Implement authentication and security using Microsoft Entra ID / Azure
Support testing, deployment, monitoring, and ongoing application improvements
Required Skills
Must-Have
Strong Microsoft Azure experience
Strong Azure SQL / Microsoft SQL Server experience
Strong Power BI experience
Experience with DAX, Power Query, data models, and dashboards
Full-stack development experience
Experience with REST APIs and system integrations
Strong SQL and relational database knowledge
Development Experience

Experience with at least one of the following:
NET / ASP.NET Core / C # – preferred
Node.js / TypeScript
Python

Frontend experience with:

React
Angular
TypeScript
JavaScript
Preferred Experience
Azure App Service
Azure Functions
Microsoft Entra ID
Azure Key Vault

Microsoft Fabric

Power BI REST API / Embedded Power BI
Docker / Azure Container Apps

Experience
4+ years of professional development experience
Experience building or maintaining applications in Microsoft Azure
Experience working with data-heavy applications, dashboards, analytics, or reporting systems
Experience modernizing or replacing Power BI solutions is highly preferred
Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate is a Microsoft-focused full-stack developer who is strong in:

Azure + SQL + Power BI + Full-Stack Development

Candidates should be able to showcase relevant projects, applications, dashboards, GitHub repositories, or portfolio work demonstrating these skills.

What we're looking for:

Strong SQL Server / T-SQL skills
