🚨 BREAKING: Four House of Reps Members Defect from PDP & LP to APC 🚨

In a major political shake-up, four federal lawmakers have officially dumped their parties for the All Progressives Congress (APC).

The defectors are:
- Inuwa Garuba (PDP, Yamaltu/Deba, Gombe State)
- Abdullahi El-Rasheed (PDP, Dukku/Nafada, Gombe State)
- Mohammed Audu (PDP, Karim Lamido/Lau/Ardo-Kola, Taraba State)
- Obika Chinedu (LP, Abuja Municipal/Bwari, FCT)

Their letters of defection were read out by Speaker Tajudeen Abbas during Wednesday’s plenary session.

The lawmakers cited internal crises in their former parties — especially the deep factional crisis rocking the PDP — as the main reason for crossing over.

This brings the number of recent defections to APC even higher as the ruling party continues to strengthen its numbers in the National Assembly.

Is this a sign of more defections coming, or just normal political realignment? Drop your thoughts in the comments 👇

🚨 BREAKING: Pure Water Producers Hike Price of Sachet Bag from ₦220 to ₦300 🚨

The Association of Table Water Producers (ATWAP), Kano State chapter, has announced a sharp increase in the price of a bag of sachet pure water.

- Old price: ₦220 per bag
- New price: Minimum ₦300 per bag

The adjustment was announced today, March 11, 2026, and takes immediate effect.

Reasons given by the producers:
- Unsustainable rise in production costs (materials up by about two-thirds)
- Printing film now costs ₦3,700
- Gas and fuel at ₦1,500 per litre
- Heavy reliance on generators due to unstable electricity supply

ATWAP Chairman Ahmad Bala Hudu said the hike is “necessary to prevent the collapse of the sachet water production industry,” while Public Relations Officer Anas Idris Hassan described it as a “last resort” to keep producing safe drinking water.

This will directly affect millions of Nigerians who rely on affordable sachet water daily.

🚨 FLASH: Court Grants ICPC Another 14 Days to Detain Ex-Kaduna Governor Nasir El-Rufai 🚨

The Federal High Court in Abuja has just approved an extension allowing the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC) to detain Nasir Ahmad El-Rufai for another 14 days.

Key details:
- The order was granted today (March 11, 2026) following an ex-parte application by the ICPC.
- El-Rufai was initially arrested and detained on corruption allegations linked to his time as Kaduna State Governor.
- The ICPC argued that more time is needed to complete investigations, recover documents, and interview witnesses.
- This is the second detention extension — the first 14-day remand was granted earlier this month.

El-Rufai's legal team has strongly opposed the continued detention, describing it as "unjust" and "politically motivated," while the ICPC insists the probe is evidence-based and ongoing.

The case continues to generate massive public debate across Nigeria.

🚨 IRAN OFFERS NIGERIA HELP AGAINST TERRORISM – AMBASSADOR MAHDAVI RAJA SPEAKS ON ARISE TV 🚨

Iran’s Ambassador to Nigeria, Mahdavi Raja, has publicly declared that Tehran is ready to support Nigeria in its long-running fight against terrorism.

In a direct interview on Arise Television, the envoy stated:

- Iran is prepared to provide assistance to help Nigeria combat terrorist threats.
- Groups in Nigeria that have any form of connection to Iran are linked only on spiritual and cultural levels, there are no political or operational ties.
- The offer is part of Iran’s willingness to cooperate with Nigeria on security matters amid shared regional concerns.

The statement comes at a time when Nigeria continues to face severe challenges from Boko Haram, ISWAP in the northeast, and escalating banditry/kidnapping networks in the northwest and other regions.

Should Nigeria consider or accept this offer of support from Iran? Or look to other partners? Let us know your view in the comments 👇
