Hello New York City!!!!!
A bit over a year ago, I picked up Cinematography to create visuals for my sound composition. I also discovered that I really love the cinematic film look and after perusing online forums, found out that vintage lenses give a very natural cinematic look, so over a year now, I have been hitting up the New York streets, sometimes alone and other times with a few peeps every Sunday, taking cinematic shots of the Big Apple. Mostly film related but being that a DSLR is in use, hasn't hurt to take pictures once a while.
Being that the StreetCinematic ventures have been over a year long, we have captured terabytes and terabytes of film/video shots of just about anything and any time of the day. These will eventually appear as visuals to my music compositions in the future. For now, here are some pics to enjoy.
PS: Absolutely all pictures you see in this album are exactly as were taken and have had zero post editing work done. Just to show how dope Vintage lenses are.
I am into anamorphic shooting as well.
Below are specs:
*Camera: Canon 5d Mkiii
*Vintage Lenses: Pentax SuperTakumar 50mm, Nikkor 85mm,
*Anamorphic Lense Adaptors: Isco Escorama 2x, Lomo 2x
Feel free to look them up and add to your arsenal. Remember, Cameras are the body but the Lenses ( and your eyes) make the difference :)
One last thing, I would like to invite you to follow StreetCinematic's new Instagram acct http://instagram.com/streetcinematic to stay in the loop. For some finished visuals including my music, feel free to check out some of my work at http://instagram.com/djxpect
Thanks much.
Hope you enjoy and do let me know any feedback you have,
Peace
