What a great way to end the year! 🎄😊 We had the great pleasure to support one of our customer´s leadership team learning and applying tools and ways that help to improve their feedback culture as well as their conflict solving skills. – The team has a strong believe that these capabilities have a direct impact on the success of their company.
For the workshop we used different elements from The Loop Approach®.
💡 𝗧𝗲𝗻𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀
Things like question, ideas, wishes, but also problems or conflicts are being expressed as tensions, which are – when addressed and resolved – continuous impulses for change and improvement. This approach provided the basis to work on the feedback culture, as it reaches beyond the operational business: as we are human beings, tensions can also arise from factors such as interpersonal conflicts, personal mindset etc. In such cases, scheduling yet another work meeting or involving yet another department may not really bring the organization forward, instead it is worth to check for solutions in other "spaces", namely on personal or relationship level.
💬 𝗙𝗲𝗲𝗱𝗯𝗮𝗰𝗸
With the aim to build trust, address topics before they become conflicts and with that – at the end of the day – become more successful as a team and as a company, team team elaborated on feedback techniques, good practices and common pitfalls before directly applying it in a format called “The Hot Seat”.

In addition to that the team finally learned about “a communication strategy that focusses on honestly expressing your deepest feelings and needs to some, and being able to empathetically listen to theirs” (Marshall B. Rosenberg). This helps to conduct feedback and conflict resolution by staying in connection with oneself and with the other person.
The core elements of non-violent communication (Observation – Feeling – Need – Request) were immediately put into practice with the “Dance Floor” exercise.
