Go Downtown We are a group of locals that realize our fates are tied together to our communities. Our entreprene

lets.goDown.town is a community project co-sponsored by local businesses and the beri.group to promote local shopping while keeping in touch with their local patrons and support their very own business community. A grass roots movement with a series of local directories, test launched initially in OH, MS, TN, and NC under 'andAround' name. Soon to be launched in its interactive format in Fairfield

County CT, covering initially the 8 towns of Greenwich, (including Cos Cob and Old Greenwich), Stamford, Darien, Norwalk, Westport, New Canaan, Wilton and Weston under the umbrella directory goDown.town. In Fairfield County CT, goDown.town resource directory aims to initially serve 130 thousand households and over thirteen thousand local businesses.

20,500 households, and 2,450 local shops in Greenwich,
47,300 households, and 4,600 local shops in Stamford,
6,700 households, and 700 local shops in Darien,
33,100 households, and 2,900 local shops in Norwalk,
9,700 households, and 1,400 local shops in Westport,
7,000 households, and 600 local shops in New Canaan,
6,200 households, and 700 local shops in Wilton, and
3,400 households, and 150 local shops in Weston. The future (15) towns served will be:
Bethel, Bridgeport, Brookfield, Danbury, Easton, Fairfield, Monroe, New Fairfield, Newtown, Redding, Ridgefield,
Shelton, Sherman, Stratford, and Trumbull.

Shop Like Your very own Neighborhood Depends On It – BECAUSE IT DOES! These are strange times. And a lot of people have all of a sudden ‘discovered’ local shops again – those that care, that deliver and have adapted to serve our communities. And this is great. Because the neighborhoods we have when this is all over, will be a direct reflection of how people have shopped over the lockdown time.

If you want your neighborhood to be full of those great independent shops, go looking for them online.

You’ve got time!

Seek out what is good in your town. Find them on social media, share a post, see if they sell online. Because when you buy from them, it’s another sale that helps toward keeping them afloat. And that means the world to them.
