With all that’s going on in the world it’s important to keep in mind that bad people are still up to bad things. We know that a pipe bomb wouldn’t do to much damage to the statues, but the damage to the surrounding people could be fatal. Stay frosty out there, and remember, physical awareness isn’t just about keeping 6 feet between you and other people.

Some friends just take things too far lol. So this hoax device was discovered when police were called to the sound of a loud argument in an apartment. The owner of the device told police that it was used to prank his friends by leaving it for them to discover. 😳 Maybe next time we just go with the water bucket on top of the door trick...

Today’s world is full of dangers that can find you. Imagine being a passenger on a bus thinking that the only danger you face is a possible motor vehicle accident, then gunfire erupts from within the bus. Imagine the terror going on inside of that bus. Are you prepared? First you have to deal with the shooter but it doesn’t stop there. I always explain to my students the benefits of carrying a medical pouch with them in a backpack or by any other means, but I can’t remind them everyday to do it. The point is, even if you think there’s no chance of you needing it... there’s always a chance. Stay safe out there.

In a time where attacks are getting more complex and the bad guys are using “outside the box” thinking, it’s all of our jobs to consider what was previously thought ludicrous or improbable. Terrorists in the Middle East are now attaching IEDs to balloons and kites to fly them over enemy lines, dropping devices from above with no regard for where they land. Possible in the states? You bet it is. More importantly though I want you all to open your thinking to unconventional attacks. Stay safe and cover your 540 degrees. The 360 around you, and the extra 180 up and dow 🔄⬆️⬇️. As always, stay safe out there.

Walmart just like some other stores is a one stop shop for all your IED building needs. I always tell my students that by recognizing the parts of an IED, you’ll recognize the fact that you have a potential device. Thankfully an off duty cop was eagle eyed enough to recognize the components she was putting together and stop her before she could ignite the device. Proof positive that IED recognition training is extremely important. On duty, or off, we all need to be aware of our surroundings and stay vigilant. It’s not just guns that can hurt us. 💥 Whether it’s from me or someone else, get training in IED recognition. Cheers to that cop. Stay safe out there friends.

I always pay attention to what comes down the Intel wires. I see something, I read it, and give considerations. However when I see the same intel multiple times on coming from numerous sources, I tend to take that as a serious heads up. This is that Intel. Get trained in explosive device recognition if your not. Buying an illegal gun is a lot more difficult than going down to your local hardware store and legally buying everything you need to build an IED. Stay safe out there.
