Last week, on October 11, 2026, we came together for an unforgettable evening of Strength, Survival, and Sisterhood at the Strength & Survival Breast Cancer Fundraiser Sneaker Ball! 🎀👟

It was more than just a night of glitz, glamour, and sneakers — it was a powerful reminder of the strength of survivors, the courage of those still fighting, the love of those standing beside them, and the beautiful lives we continue to honor in memory. 💕 Every story shared, every heartfelt moment, and every word of encouragement reminded us why this mission matters so deeply.

We were honored to hear inspiring speeches from two phenomenal women making a difference in the breast cancer community:

What’s Behind The Bra? & Pink Army Strong surprised some of our beautiful Warriors with trophies at our Strength & Survival Sneaker Ball, and seeing their smiles meant everything. 🥹

Each trophy was a heartfelt reminder: We see you. We honor your journey. And you have a village standing beside you through it all.

These beautiful women carry stories that deserve to be heard and lives that deserve to be celebrated. We were so grateful to give them their flowers—and a little something to take home! 💐🏆

🎀 Honoring Our Breast Cancer Warrior, Doris Biggs 🎀

Hospitalized on Monday with a 104-degree fever. Surgery on Tuesday for complications related to her mastectomy. Released on Friday—and on Sunday, Doris traveled from the Bronx, NY, to South Brunswick, NJ, through a rainstorm to accept her Breast Cancer Warrior Award. 🩷🙏🏽

Doris, your courage moved us, and your presence was a gift we will never take for granted.

And she didn’t come alone! A village of 20 people showed up from across all FIVE New York City boroughs to surround her with love and celebrate her. That is the power of community—making sure someone you love never has to face the journey alone. 🫶🏽

Doris, we love you! We pray you’re home resting, allowing your body the time and care it needs to heal. Wishing you a smooth, speedy recovery. You deserve to receive all the love you brought into that room. 🩷

With Breast Cancer Awareness Month approaching on October 1st, this episode reminds us that a clear mammogram in the past doesn’t guarantee the same results each year. 🩷🎀

Monique Bass, breast cancer survivor and founder of What’s Behind The Bra?, sits down with fellow survivor Monique “Neek Neek” Williams for a heartfelt conversation about the moment her life changed. Monique NeekNeek Williams

She had been through a biopsy before—but this time, the call was different. On April 7, 2025, she heard the word “carcinoma.” 💔 Behind every diagnosis is a person whose life changes with those words.

Let this be your reminder to schedule your annual mammogram when you’re due and stay consistent with your recommended screenings. Don’t keep putting yourself last. Early detection saves lives. 🙏🏽
