Today, I celebrate LIFE.

As a breast cancer survivor, I know firsthand that survivorship is about so much more than ringing a bell. It’s about finding strength when you’re scared, hope when things feel uncertain, and gratitude for every single day you’re given.

Looking back, I wish I could hug the woman I was during treatment and tell her, “You’re going to make it through this. Your scars will become your strength, and your story will help others.”

To every survivor, caregiver, family member, and friend walking this journey—today we celebrate YOU. Keep fighting, keep believing, and keep living. Your story matters.

💗 Early detection saves lives.
💗 Listen to your body.
💗 Advocate for yourself.
💗 Never lose hope.

Monique Bass sat down with Holli Crystal Johnson, a Non-Hodgkin Lymphoma survivor 💚whose story is nothing short of inspiring. At one point, Holli was given just 3.5 hours to live, but she defied the odds and is here today sharing her journey of faith, resilience, and hope.

During this heartfelt conversation, Holli opens up about facing one of the toughest battles of her life while maintaining a positive outlook and refusing to let her diagnosis define her. Her testimony is a powerful reminder that our circumstances do not determine our outcome.

Last weekend at the health fair, I had the opportunity to share my story with What’s Good with Isaiah.

I talked about how I discovered a lump in my breast and underwent THREE biopsies that all came back benign. But something didn’t sit right with me. I continued listening to my body and advocated for myself. I pushed to have the lump removed and tested.

That decision changed my life.

The pathology revealed Stage 1 Breast Cancer.

Had I accepted the benign results without further investigation, my story could have been very different.

You know your body better than anyone. Ask questions. Get a second opinion. Advocate for yourself. Early detection saves lives.

Listen to your body. It may be trying to tell you something. 💕

I’m feeling grateful today. 💗

The first week of January, I launched What’s Behind The Bra? Healing Stories Podcast with a vision to give survivors, caregivers, advocates, and healthcare professionals a platform to share their stories.

Today marks 5 months of consistency. Every week, we’ve shared stories of hope, resilience, healing, and advocacy.

As a breast cancer survivor myself, this platform is so much bigger than a podcast. It’s a mission. It’s a reminder that none of us are alone in this journey.

Thank you to every guest who trusted me with their story, every listener who tuned in, every subscriber, supporter, and person who shared an episode.
