This account went quiet for a while.
There’s a noticeable gap in the work… the posts… the moments captured.
Why?
Because life doesn’t always follow the timeline we think it will.
Shortly after I picked up my camera in 2008—back when I was just documenting families, babies, the in-between giggles and milestones—my own life took a turn. And not a small one… a defining one.
That turn led me somewhere unexpected…
into a role that would shape not only my career, but who I am as a woman, an artist, and a leader.
I became the Founding Associate and Studio Manager of AdoraLee Photography.
What started as stepping in to help build something…
turned into helping be the foundation of something.
This month, AdoraLee celebrates 17 years.
17 years of photographing women.
17 years of holding space for transformation.
17 years of witnessing confidence be rebuilt, rediscovered, and reclaimed.
And behind the scenes of that?
Countless hours.
Hard conversations.
Moments where I had to learn to find my voice… and moments where I didn’t use it when I should have.
Times I gave others credit for my strength… while quietly discrediting myself.
I wasn’t just building a business…
I was being built in the process.
So yes—there’s a gap in this feed.
But what was happening in that gap?
Growth.
Resilience.
Becoming.
I wasn’t absent…
I was evolving.
And now?
I’m stepping back into this space with 15+ years of experience, a deeper sense of self, and a story that didn’t break me—it shaped me.
Sometimes the most powerful chapters aren’t the ones we post…
they’re the ones that prepare us for everything that comes next.
And this next chapter?
It’s going to be a beautiful one. 🖤
