We've been moving around the island for our morning meeting, exploring what an autumn morning offers, and it has been fantastic. Anna D's Cafe, in Portsmouth, was the most recent and perfect location. We enjoyed the beautiful fall air and great conversation.

The most recent Newport Network meeting focused on asking for the sale without being percieved as pushy. The goal is to be a trusted resource—not to make every interaction about closing a sale.

We explored common sales approaches that can make people uncomfortable and reframed them into more helpful, relationship-focused conversations.

Instead of creating unnecessary urgency, turning casual conversations into sales pitches, attaching conditions to offers, or continuing to follow up after someone says no; we focused on listening, guiding with our expertise, and respecting the other person’s decisions.

A great sales conversation should feel like guidance, not pressure. Provide useful information, make it easy for someone to understand their options, and give the relationship room to develop naturally.

When people feel respected rather than sold to, asking for the sale can become a natural part of the conversation.

Today’s educational meeting was just absolutely amazing! This is not health insurance, it’s a company that has made it their mission to help people navigate the often complex world of health insurance , prescription costs, HSA’s , enrollment periods…
They typically help the average household save 7k per year buy simply helping them select the right coverage and have someone to turn to when you have questions! For $25 a year(yes!!!) this is just unheard of!
