Sunshine + sidewalk chalk = the perfect day for learning through play ☀️🌈

Our Scholars had so much fun outside creating colorful chalk art and practicing hopscotch! Drawing with chalk helps strengthen fine motor skills, hand eye coordination and creativity. Hopscotch builds balance, coordination, number recognition and turn taking skills. Movement + imagination = powerful learning! 🚀

Welcoming spring in our Rising Scholars baby room! ☀️🌳

Our little learners explored construction paper, glue, and markers to create their own sunshine and trees! Through this hands on art activity, they’re building fine motor skills and hand eye coordination as they grasp, tear, press, and stick. Which are important foundations for writing and everyday tasks later on. Creative art also encourages early sensory exploration and self expression!

Tiny hands, BIG learning happening in Rising Scholars today! 🔩🧠

Our toddlers explored “nuts and bolts” as they worked on strengthening their fine motor skills and practicing sharing with friends. Twisting, turning, and matching pieces helps build hand strength, coordination, and problem solving skillS. All are so important for future writing and everyday tasks. Even more special? They’re learning patience, communication and teamwork as they take turns and work together. 🚀

Rising Scholars went on a Color Scavenger Hunt! Our little scholars searched the classroom for different colors, matching objects and excitedly sharing their discoveries with friends.

This fun activity helps strengthen color recognition, builds vocabulary, encourages critical thinking and supports gross motor skills as scholars move around the room. It also promotes focus and listening skills as they follow directions and work together. Learning through play makes all the difference! 🚀

This week at Rising Scholars, our theme was inspired by Oh, the Places You’ll Go! by Dr. Seuss! 🌟

Our toddlers explored new experiences by trying “green eggs” and turkey bacon; stepping outside their comfort zones just like the story encourages! Trying new foods helps build sensory development, supports healthy eating habits and strengthens fine motor skills as they practice feeding themselves. It also boosts confidence as they explore new tastes and textures in a fun, supportive environment! 🚀
