The stage is set for one of the biggest softball matchups in Northeast Ohio as the Edgewood Warriors return to the OHSAA Division IV District Final for the second consecutive season. Edgewood enters Thursday’s championship showdown with an impressive 19-3 overall record and the momentum of an outstanding regular season that included an undefeated CVC Lake Division championship campaign. Standing in their way will be the West Geauga Wolverines, who bring a strong 20-5 record into the district final matchup.

The Warriors have relied on a balanced combination of dominant pitching, timely hitting, and veteran leadership throughout the season. Edgewood has consistently found ways to win in pressure situations and now looks to take the next step with a district championship opportunity. Returning to the district final for the second year in a row speaks to the consistency and culture this program has built, as the Warriors continue to establish themselves as one of the area’s premier softball programs.

First pitch is scheduled for 5:00 PM Thursday at Ursuline College in Pepper Pike. With two 20-win caliber programs meeting for a district title, fans can expect playoff intensity, outstanding competition, and an electric atmosphere as the Warriors look to continue their postseason run.

The Senior Parade will be on Sunday, May 17th, 2026 with a start time of promptly 9:00 am.

Seniors...... If you are planning on participating, please meet at the Ashtabula Mall (front west end parking lot) no later than 8:45am to get lined up. If you are decorating your cars, floats, or trailers please arrive early enough to decorate since we will be kicking off right at 9:00 am.

Edgewood Youth Camps – Summer 2026 Registration Now Open!

Edgewood Athletics is excited to announce the lineup for the 2026 Edgewood Youth Camps, offering athletes ​in multiple grade levels the opportunity to develop skills, build confidence, and compete in a positive, instructional environment led by Edgewood coaching staff and program leaders.

These camps are designed to provide high-level instruction in each sport while emphasizing fundamentals, teamwork, and a love for the game. All sessions will be held at Edgewood facilities unless otherwise noted.

🏀 Boys Basketball Camp
June 8–10

Grades 9–12: 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM
Grades 3–8: 1:00 PM – 3:30 PM
A focused skill-development camp emphasizing shooting, ball handling, defensive principles, and competitive play.

🏀 Girls Basketball Camp
June 11–13

Grades 9–12: 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM
Grades 3–8: 1:00 PM – 3:30 PM
Designed to build fundamentals, improve game IQ, and develop confidence through structured drills and competition.

🏐 Volleyball Camp
June 18–20

9:00 AM – 12:00 PM
Players will work on passing, serving, setting, hitting, and team systems in a high-rep training environment.

⛳ Golf Camp (Boys & Girls)
June 24–26

8:00 AM – 10:00 AM
Instruction will focus on swing mechanics, short game development, course management, and consistency.

🏈 Football Camp
June 27–28

9:00 AM – 12:00 PM
A fundamentals-based camp covering position work, skill development, and football IQ in a fast-paced format.

⚽ Soccer Camp (Boys & Girls)
July 6–8

9:00 AM – 12:00 PM
Players will train in technical skills, tactical awareness, and small-sided game situations to improve overall performance.

Registration Information
All camps are open to the community and encouraged for athletes of all skill levels. Participants should bring appropriate athletic gear, water, and a positive attitude ready to learn and compete.
