What is the Eva Bouvee Hat contest???
Let’s start by Introducing Miss Eva Bouvee!!!
Eva Bouvee, born in 1852, she had a deep love for travel and exploration, particularly within the great state of Michigan. Eva Bouvee's entrepreneurial spirit and success extended beyond her store(Located in what is now The Hair Foundation Salon)
In 1883, she was named Northville's most popular milliner, an achievement that may have been influenced by the town's love for horse racing. Eva even contributed money to the horse racing purse, making her the only woman to do so. She was a single, independent, and strong woman who not only managed her store but also rented out properties in town. This allowed her to stay connected with the local gossip and establish herself as a respected businesswoman and landlord.
