✨ REALISTIC REORGANIZATION IS MORE THAN JUST ORGANIZING! ✨

This week was a perfect example of why I love what I do. ❤️

Sometimes you don’t need someone to come in and completely reorganize your entire house. Sometimes you just need an extra set of hands to help get all those random things DONE.

One client needed help tackling the first floor — putting things away, getting items out of the living room and kitchen, organizing shoes, jackets and purses in their landing area, putting together a few organizing containers, building a little chip organizer, gathering returns, breaking down boxes, organizing trash bags, and cleaning out the cabinet underneath the sink.

Just 3 hours of knocking out all those little things that had been waiting for someone to tackle them. 🙌

I also spent time at a business reorganizing a back room that had become a catch-all. We pulled everything out, wiped down the cabinets and drawers, and reorganized everything from toilet paper and cleaning supplies to employee food, paper products, dishes, plasticware, glassware and event supplies. Even tackled the junk drawer! 😂

And today I’m finishing up a bedroom closet for another client.

Then Sunday, I’ll be helping get a home cleaned up and organized as it gets ready to be listed for sale.

Sometimes, we just have to pivot.

One thing I’ve learned from working with my clients is that no two days—or two projects—are exactly the same.

Tonight was a perfect example.

I’ve been helping one of my clients over the last few months at three different locations—her business, the home they’re selling, and the home they’re moving into.

The plan for tonight was to head to the new house and finish organizing a closet.

But when I checked in, she asked, “Can we pivot?” 😂

She and her husband were at the house they’re selling, taking care of some last-minute things before it went live tonight. What she needed instead was for me to head to the business, clear everything out of the event room, and move it into another suite that will be having a walkthrough next week.

So that’s what I did.

I didn’t just move everything from one room to another and call it done. I took the time to vacuum and dust everything and placed the items in the suite as neatly as possible, knowing someone would be walking through that space soon.

Then I closed everything up, sent her the before-and-after pictures, and called it a night.

That’s Realistic Reorganization.

Sometimes we follow the plan.

Sometimes the plan changes five minutes before we start.

Sometimes life gets busy and you need someone who can simply say, “Yep, we can pivot.”

I’m happy to be flexible and work with my clients’ real-life needs—whether that means organizing a closet, tackling a whole house, helping with a move, working between multiple locations, or simply figuring out what needs to happen today.

Because organization isn’t always about having a perfect plan.

Sometimes, it’s about having someone who can help you make the plan work.

Oh, I’d probably say something like this:

“Just a heads-up before you meet her…”

She’s a lot.

She feels things deeply, notices things you thought she didn’t notice, and remembers things you thought she forgot. She will probably overthink a conversation you barely remember having and somehow find six different meanings behind a three-word text.

She’s fiercely independent, but secretly wants someone she can finally stop being strong around.

She’ll give you more chances than you probably deserve—but once she realizes she’s been choosing someone who keeps choosing everything else over her, something in her changes. And when she’s done, she’s really done.

She’s stubborn. Emotional. Distractible. She’ll start telling you one story and somehow end up on four completely unrelated topics before she gets to the point. 😂

She’s going to care about you probably before you’ve decided whether you care about her.

She’ll remember your favorite things. She’ll notice when your voice sounds different. She’ll show up. She’ll defend you. She’ll love you loudly and quietly and in all the little ways you don’t realize matter.

But here’s the real warning:

Don’t make her feel like she has to earn being chosen.

Because she has spent enough of her life questioning whether she’s enough, worthy enough, lovable enough, important enough.

If you aren’t capable of being honest with her, consistent with her, and intentional about having her in your life, please don’t get close to her.

And if you do get close to her?

Don’t mistake her vulnerability for weakness.

That woman has survived things that could have made her bitter, and somehow she still chooses kindness.

So yes… she’s complicated.

She’s messy.

She’s emotional.

She’s stubborn.

She’s a little chaotic.

She’s a lot.

But if you earn her trust, she’ll love you in a way that’s very hard to replace.

So the warning isn’t really “be careful of her.”

It’s:

“Be careful with her.” ❤️
