Duties and responsibilities of the role include:
β€’ Evaluate, diagnose, and treat acute and chronic conditions.
β€’ Order and interpret diagnostic tests, as well as non-operative treatment relative to each patient's specific need.
β€’ Conduct comprehensive history and physical examinations in a clinic setting.
β€’ Update treatment plan and re-evaluate patients as needed to ensure optimal outcome.
β€’ Capture all relevant information in the patient record, taking care to note any significant changes in condition or medical history.
β€’ Educate patients and caregivers on medical conditions, diagnoses, or medications to ensure their understanding and prepare them for self-management.
β€’ Coordinate continuity of care when patients are referred to external HCPs.
β€’ Address patient questions or requests by telephone as needed. Assist patients in scheduling an office visit when necessary.
β€’ Maintain supportive and positive relationships with patients, clinical staff, and external partners.
β€’ Perform all job duties in accordance with Federal and State regulations, guidelines, and requirements.

Schedule and Benefits
β€’ Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. (negotiable). No On-Call Services or Inpatient Rounds.
β€’ Paid Time Off.
β€’ Ten paid holidays.
β€’ Additional benefits may be available and negotiated, depending on the knowledge, skills, and experience you bring to the practice!

Candidates for this position will:
β€’ Hold a current Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant license in the State of Mississippi.
β€’ Hold current BLS certification.
β€’ Prior experience in a high-volume clinic or urgent care setting is preferred. Recent graduates are encouraged to apply.
β€’ Have intermediate to advanced proficiency with medical record systems and strong data entry skills.
β€’ Have the ability to interact professionally, courteously, and efficiently with patients, clinical staff, and external partners.
β€’ Be able to prioritize work and meet established timelines, even with frequent disruptions.
β€’ Understand the importance of protecting patient information, privacy, and confidentiality.

The Medical Billing Coordinator helps to ensure that patients receive appropriate benefits from Medicare, Medicaid, and private insurance. Working closely with our third-party billing partner, the Medical Billing Coordinator will post payments, track receivables and overdue accounts, research claim denials, and submit appeals when applicable.

The Medical Billing Coordinator will analyze denial trends, then liaise with office and clinical teams to improve the efficiency of the billing process and consistency of revenue streams. This individual will also provide monthly reports on billing and collection productivity, aging claims, overdue accounts, and the overall performance of the revenue cycle.

Candidates for this position will:
β€’ Have a high school diploma or equivalent. An Associate Degree of Applied Science with Medical Billing and Coding option is highly preferred. Certified Professional Biller (CPB) is highly preferred.

β€’ Have a minimum of 5 years of prior billing experience to include Medicare billing experience.

β€’ Understand all components of the revenue cycle including billing, collections, coding, and posting.

β€’ Have working knowledge of procedure and diagnosis coding (CPT, ICD-10, HCPCS) and automated insurance billing.

β€’ Possess extensive knowledge of State, Federal and commercial payer reimbursement systems, rules, and regulations relating to receivables.

β€’ Have intermediate to advanced proficiency with medical record systems and data entry skills.

β€’ Interact professionally, courteously, and efficiently with patients, clinical staff, and external partners.

β€’ Be able to prioritize work and meet established timelines, even with frequent disruptions.

β€’ Understand the importance of protecting patient information, privacy, and confidentiality.

Like all healthcare professionals, our client - a Family Practice physician in Ocean Springs - is at the heart of the COVID crisis. They now hope to support the community in an even bigger way with a walk-up testing site.

We're looking for COVID TESTING TECHNICIANS available to start immediately and able to work a temporary, part-time schedule of Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday afternoons as well as rotating Saturdays.

Major job duties include registering patients, checking in patients on arrival, performing nasal or finger stick, and properly labeling and handling test specimens.

Requirements:
β€’ Friendly personality with a passion for customer service and patient care.

β€’ Punctuality and Reliability are a MUST.

β€’ High school diploma or equivalent.

β€’ Prior experience as a Medical Assistant, Nurse Assistant, Phlemotomist, or similar roles is highly preferred.
