SUPPORT FOR MILLARD WOODS ESTATES RESIDENTS WITH FLOOD-DAMAGED HOMES:
If you’re a resident of the Millard Woods Estates RV and mobile home park, and your home was damaged by the October 1st flash floods in Omaha, then we invite you to attend a special event on Tuesday, October 13th where you can get help from multiple agencies. Please read on below for more information:

The Salvation Army of Omaha is teaming up with other local and state agencies to host a Multi-Agency Resource Center (MARC) event. This event is set for 10 a.m. until 1 p.m. Tuesday, October 13 inside Millard Public Schools’ Ron Witt Support Services Center (13737 Industrial Road).

Flood-impacted residents of Millard Woods Estates are invited to attend the MARC event so they can simultaneously receive a variety of disaster-recovery support from five different agencies, all of them set up in one location at the Ron Witt Support Services Center:

• Together, Inc. – will assist with emergency housing
• Heartland Hope Mission – will provide basic-needs / household-items support
• Region VI – will provide mental-health crisis support
• City of Omaha – will assist via intaking flood-affected residents and doing needs assessments
• The Salvation Army – will provide $250 Walmart gift cards (one per flood-impacted household)

A Salvation Army canteen (food truck) will be serving free lunches during the MARC event -- while supplies last.

PLEASE NOTE: Flood-impacted Millard Woods Estates residents seeking Walmart gift cards must bring these items with them and speak with a Salvation Army representative when they stop by the MARC event on Tuesday:
• a photo ID
• a piece of mail dated anytime within the last 30 days showing name and address
• if they are renters who are renting the house they’d been living in, they will need to bring a copy of their current lease paperwork.

PLEASE ALSO NOTE: Millard Woods Estates residents do not need to present the aforementioned three items in order to receive the other services being provided at the MARC (i.e., the services provided by the first four of the above-listed agencies).

SPECIFICALLY FOR RESIDENTS OF OMAHA'S KAREN ADDITION NEIGHBORHOOD WHOSE HOMES WERE DAMAGED BY LAST WEEK'S FLOODING: We are offering you additional support tomorrow evening (Wednesday, October 7th). Please read on below for details.

Stop by Karen Western Elementary School (6224 H St) between 4:30 and 8 P.M. Wednesday, October 7th and look for a table marked with Salvation Army branding. We will have $250 Walmart gift cards available there at the school – one per qualifying Karen Addition household.

Please bring these items with you to the school:
• a photo ID
• a piece of mail dated anytime within the last 30 days showing your name and address (preferably a utility bill, but it doesn’t have to be)
• if you are renting your house, please bring a copy of your current lease paperwork.

You’ll need to speak with a Salvation Army representative at the school and complete a short intake form on-site.

IMPORTANT: the person receiving the gift card MUST be the person named on the piece of mail and, if renting, on the lease paperwork, too.

Again, please bring the aforementioned items with you to the school on October 7th – you can stop by the school anytime between 4:30 and 8 P.M. on that day.

These gift cards are intended only for Karen Addition residents whose homes were damaged by the flood last week.

ADDITIONALLY:
*We will be serving dinner outside Karen Western school on Wednesday, October 7th. -- starting at 5 p.m. on a first-come, first-served, while-supplies-last basis.
*The shower trailer we have stationed near Karen Pool will be open from 3 p.m. until 7 p.m. on Wednesday, October 7th.
