If the bathroom smell’s it might not be what you think!

A bathroom that smells like sewer fumes could have e. coli in the air. A cracked O-ring or loose mounting bolts could be the cause of the smells leaking from the sewer system through the toilet system.
E.coli is a bacterium that lives in the lower intestine and can be in sewer water. If inhaled E. coli. has been known to cause gastroenteritis and urinary tract infections. If the toilet has a cracked O-ring, loose mounting bolts, or a leaky tank gasket you might have water damage and microbial growth along with the bad smell.
If left untreated microbial growth could destroy the integrity of the supporting floor boards under the toilet and or the surrounding walls. Not to mention the harmful effects on your health.

“Sick building syndrome could apply to your own home!”

Sick building syndrome sounds crazy but it’s very real! A building can actually become sick, well more like infested with bacteria or mold. In which case anyone who spends and extended amount of time inside the sick building could also become sick! If you and/ or other members in your family experience similar symptoms that consistently occur you might be experiencing sick building syndrome. Some symptoms are but not limited to: Headache, dizziness, nausea, eye, nose or throat irritation, dry cough, dry or itching skin, difficulty in concentration, fatigue, sensitivity to odors, allergies, cold, flu-like symptoms, and of course increased incidence of asthma attacks.
