Sometimes when restocking a vending machine, a customer may hover wanting to make a purchase. When this occurs, it is important to stop what you are doing, make sure the customer's desired product is stocked, temporarily close the machine and allow them to complete the transaction before proceeding.

When handling an interruption, always treat the customer with gratitude and respect and never do a hand-to-hand transaction. Always have the customer complete the purchase using the vending machine to avoid accounting and inventory confusion with the Operator.
