It’s the largest Eichler tour ever held in Orange, according to the nonprofit. The city is a Southern California hub for Eichler houses; many communities also exist in Northern California.

Last night was a stupendous evening for both JANUS and the Eichler residents of Orange. The City Council unanimously approved the local designation of the nearly 350 homes located in the Fairhaven, Fairmeadow and Fairhills tracts as historic districts. JANUS is proud to have been selected by the City of Orange to partner with my long-term colleagues at Page & Turnbull to prepare the Design Guidelines which were also adopted last evening. The community engagement of this project was phenomenal, and contributed greatly to its success.

JANUS is proud to have been selected to provide historic preservation services for the 1911 Chas. H. Barker House located in Pasadena, California. First order will be remove the badly deteriorated brick fireplace and chimney, and authentically reconstruct it to its original appearance.

JANUS continually looks to advancements in technology to assist with the preservation of historic resources. As replacement parts were no longer available to repair the original locking mechanisms, JANUS utilized 3-D printing to fabricate new ones.

J A N U S is pleased to have been selected by the City of Orange as part of the consulting team in the preparation of Design Standards for the three Eichler tracts; Fairhaven, Fairmeadow and Fairhills.
