I’ve been deployed to hurricane areas over the years, and besides insurance companies, the two companies people are usually the most upset with are electric companies and cell phone providers.

I’ve seen some of the wildest messages spray painted on houses directed at them after storms.

When people are without power, communication, AC, and basic necessities for days or weeks, emotions run high really fast (mine included).

Duke Energy customers will get a refund on their bills after the utility collected more than needed for storm restoration costs.
