Instagram as you know it IS CHANGING!!

Instagram has recently announced that they are no longer a photo sharing app but they are now shifting a lot of their focus on video!!🤯🤯

For a lot of businesss and coaches, this is MAJOR!
There’s a lot of controversy on how this is going to play out but for those of you who love reels and are all for video content, this may very well be your time to shine✨

On the flip side, to those of you who are not big fans of creating video content, that’s okay.

Remember, your audience should be there because the genuinely enjoy your content! Who knows, depending on your audience you might even be doing yourself a disservice by changing it up🤷🏼

For now, Instagram has been open to suggestions to new changes so I’m sure as time goes by we’ll start to see a lot more changes coming our way.

Want to know the secret to growing your business on Instagram?🤫

Let me start with where we go wrong~
Sometime we tell ourselves that we need a large following to be successful but
!!!!!!!!SURPRISE!!!!!!!!!
Having a large following actually plays little to NO part in how successful your business really is!!

What good is 10k followers if they’re not engaging or buying your product/service??
Am I right?

If you want a large following, cool👍🏽
But if you want sales, heres a few things you’ll need to remember.

Connection ➜ Think about it. People usually engage with accounts that are relevant to their interest OR solve a problem they are having. Finding common interest between you and your ideal client will definitely make you stand out in the crowd and make you more approachable.
Not to mention making THEM easier to find and communicate with🤩

Growth ➜ If your not being intentional with Instagram, it’s so much harder to get the results you want. Become friends with your insights, research competitors, examine your top performing posts, engage with hashtags your audience is likely using, the list goes on and on. Don’t post to stay relevant, post to grow!

Build trust ➜ This is what’s going to turn that new follower into a new customer! People buy from businesses they know, like, and trust. Don’t treat people like a potential sale, they know what your doing and it can leave a pretty bad taste in their mouth even if they WERE interested! Think of it as a first date, you wouldn’t ask them to marry you on day one, would you? You’re probably going to need a few more dates before choosing to commit.

⚠️ Remember, it won’t happen overnight. If you don’t put in the effort, you won’t receive the reward. Period.

At the end of the day, every step you take on Instagram should be bringing you closer to your goal! Think about what you need from IG and MAKE👏🏼IT👏🏼HAPPEN👏🏼.

Let me start by telling you why captions matters.

Instagrams #1 goal is to keep people online for as long as they can so when you contribute to that, everyone wins!

Having a good caption is the “not so secret” secret that will improve you engagement tremendously📈

You want to make sure yours always includes..

👉🏽 A good hook to grab their attention.
👉🏽 Keywords for more visibility.
👉🏽 Additional information for extra spice!
👉🏽 A call to action to promote engagement.

If you can nail these 4 things in your captions everytime, I can almost promise the winds of change are headed your way. 🌬🍀

There’s two kinds of people in this world, people who looove writing captions
and people who don’t🤷🏻‍♀️

Do people even read bios anymore?👀👀
Oh yes they do!
I know I do!
& when it come to running your business on Instagram, a weak bio can leave people uninterested & sometimes confused🥴
Let’s not underestimate the power of a well thought out bio💪🏽
➡️Try making your your actual name or business name.
Then use the space where your name should be to let people know what your profession is! Feel free to spruce this up & include something personal. If your a coach & love cats, you can say “coach & cat lover🐈”.
This makes you easier to find & way more relatable to your audience.
➡️As far as the bio part where you get to talk about yourself, MAKE IT COUNT!✨ Especially those first two lines. Why? Because Instagram will ask the user to click “more” if they want to read the full bio & you want those first two lines to entice them to do just that🤞🏽
➡️What about your profile picture? At the end of the day, it’s not a big deal compared to the tons of content your pumping out but still, you want to optimize every which way you can!
Personal brands & coaches, I would aim for a friendly photo of yourself. People are going to want to see who their working with!
& for online shops & clothing brands, I’d probably stick with your trusty logo!
➡️Do not forget to add your link in the bio! I know sometime we have a couple different links that we want to use but unfortunately Instagram only allows one.

The hashtags you’re using are essential to reaching your target audience & without them, your followers are just followers🤷🏼
Take advantage of all 30 of them bad boys!

Can it be time consuming?
Yes.

Does it have to be?
Eh, not really.

Create a system for your hashtags🤯
I personally love using the notes section of my phone to store groups of 30 hashtags & label them accordingly that way, when those specific hashtag are relevant again, I can reuse them♻️

Avoid repeating the same hashtags on back to back post!

The algorithm gods are always watching👀 & repeating hashtag could actually flag you as spam!!😱😱

Don’t get me wrong, there’s a lot to be considered here & cutting corners can cost ya!

Because the instagram market is so saturated you’ll want to find some 𝕀𝕟𝕤𝕡𝕚𝕣𝕒𝕥𝕚𝕠𝕟 !! Ask yourself why should someone follow you & how are you going to stand out ?

This Christmas is a bit different..
It’s no secret that 2020 has made such an impact on so many lives, mine included! Good or bad, one thing remains constant & that is the love we have for our family & friends💞 Let’s be thankful! Hold them close & remind them how much they mean to us!
