Dorn's Exclusive Tutoring One-on-One tutoring in a virtual classroom. My name is Rachel Dorn and I am from Missouri. I have been in the field of education since 2001.

My certification is in K-12 and Spanish and ESL (English Speakers of other Languages), and I have a Masters of Reading & Literacy (K-12). I have taught at the elementary and secondary levels. I speak Spanish fluently, and I also taught English aboard. My focus with tutoring is to help students achieve their potential in the areas of:

1) Reading Skills
a) phonics/decoding
b) fluency/fluidity

c) comprehension
d) critical thinking

2) English and/or Spanish grammar and mechanics

3) Writing skills
a) organization of ideas
b) structure for different writing types
c) use of original language and rhetoric

4) Spanish 1 & 2 (High school levels) Beginning level (first course) College Spanish

5) ESL- Academic assistance for speakers of other languages. Please inquire regarding specific subjects. With the growth of on-line tutoring options, families and students can benefit from accessibility to teaching professionals, convenience of being at home, student privacy, and ease of scheduling and payment. I enjoy establishing a one-on-one tutoring relationship with a student and creating a program for academic success that capitalizes on a student's strengths and seeks to remedy specific areas of weakness.

I might now be considered the crazy bird lady. I am SO EXCITED to reveal my new series, “Expanse”!! Starting today, I will post new work, available for purchase only for a limited time, from September 3rd—September 5th! Art will be posted to my website and to my social media pages at 5:30, 6:30 and 7:30 p.m. each of the 3 nights. A more specific schedule and sneak peek was sent out in my email newsletter early this morning.
Thank you for supporting me through this artistic journey. It has most definitely been a wild ride and I have big plans for the next stage in expanding my artistic career.
