Each independent restaurant concept we create revolves around its own story, with history as its backdrop. Congratulations to our friends and neighbors, Sue & Jason Chin, and the team at Good Salt Restaurant Group, on the announcement of The Monroe which will open in 2021 at The Julian in Creative Village. The Monroe is rooted in history and pays homage to Dr. William "Monroe" Wells, an African-American physician who opened the Wells' Built Hotel in Parramore in 1926 as a gathering place to be welcomed amongst friends and have fun. We have no doubt that this new concept, which joins sister properties, Reyes Mezcaleria, Seito Sushi Baldwin Park, and The Osprey, deliver one-of-a-kind experiences for everyone that will become part of the fabric of the community.
