When we asked our firefighters what they wanted to be when they grew up, apparently there was only one acceptable answer.

All jokes aside, we’re wishing all the students, teachers and staff a safe, successful and fun school year. And to our young future firefighters out there, keep dreaming big!

Since its push-in ceremony, our firefighters have been putting E-11 through its paces, training with the new engine and getting familiar with all of its equipment and capabilities.

Now, it’s officially in service and has already answered its first call, responding to an accident.

We’re excited to have E-11 on the streets and ready to answer the call when our community needs us.

We may have gotten a little dramatic with the trailer, but we’re excited about the newest addition to the Shoreline Fire fleet.

R-21 is now housed at Station 2 in Navarre and has already responded to its first call, assisting with a medical emergency.

We’re looking forward to having this new rescue in service and putting it to work for our community.

So, without further ado, here is the dramatic trailer you didn’t know you needed for a fire rescue truck.

Behind every firefighter is a team of people who rarely wear the uniform, but are every bit as important to the job.

At Shoreline Fire’s pinning ceremony, we celebrated our firefighters as they took their oath and received their badges. But those moments didn’t happen in a vacuum. Behind each badge are spouses, children, parents, siblings, friends and loved ones who have supported these firefighters through long shifts, missed dinners, sleepless nights, big changes and, most recently, the journey of building a brand-new department.

They’ve listened, encouraged, worried, celebrated and probably heard “I’ll be home soon” more times than they can count.

To the families and friends who have stood beside our firefighters through it all: thank you. Your support makes their service possible, and you are an important part of the Shoreline Fire family.

We celebrated the firefighters last week. Today, we’re celebrating the people who help make it possible for them to answer the call.

Special thank you to the talented Jamie Joos Photography for capturing some of these moments.

Last night was an important milestone!

At our Pinning Ceremony, firefighters took their Oath of Office and received their department pins, symbolizing their commitment to serving the communities of Orono and Long Lake.

It was a meaningful evening shared with family, friends, and community leaders as we celebrated the people who make Shoreline Fire so special.

Congratulations to all of our firefighters, we're proud to have you serving our communities.
