Building Community: Fence Builders USA

When Rob Osso, a sales representative with Fence Builders since its inception in 2020, arrived in northern CT for a free estimate, he didn’t expect what he would find. Free estimates are commonplace, but on this day, Rob arrived to find a rotted, fallen fence that wrapped the backyard and needed to be completely replaced. Rob presented the price to the home owner of over $6,500 dollars for the job. The home owners eyes welled with tears. She began to explain that the town was threatening a daily fine until the fence was replaced however she didn’t have the money to replace it. And no one to help her. Unfortunately Rob’s hands were tied.

Later that evening, unable to get the neighbor in need out of his mind, he called Taylor Westlund, the Fence Builders owner. He said, “Taylor, we have to help, we can’t just walk away from this.” Rob offered to take a day off from work and donate his time to help install the fence. Fence builders USA went on to donate all the materials needed to complete the job. Additional Fence Builders installers joined Rob’s initiative and spent the day away from work to make it all happen.

Fence Builders USA, under Taylor Westlund’s leadership and long-standing commitment to the community, has built a team that works to give back whenever possible. Kudos to Rob Osso of Fence Builders USA for identifying someone in need and much thanks to the entire fence builders team for making a difference in the life of a neighbor.
