Just finished up these two antler mounts! 🦌

The set on the left is a pair of sheds I found myself, while the set on the right came from a hunt over 20 years ago. It was recently decided to turn those antlers into a plaque as a memorial piece for the person who harvested them — giving an old memory a new place to be enjoyed for years to come.

Whether it’s a random set of sheds you found while walking the Maine woods, or an old set of antlers sitting forgotten in the attic, I’d be happy to turn them into something you’ll be proud to display.

If you’ve got a set of antlers with a story behind them and want to see them hanging on your wall instead of collecting dust, reach out to Zaxidermy. Let’s turn those memories into something you can enjoy looking at every day.

Bear baiting season is arriving and there’s no better time to share a few skulls from last season. Good luck to everyone putting in the miles, hauling bait, checking cameras, and waiting for that big boar to show.

When your tag is filled, let Zaxidermy preserve the trophy the right way. We specialize in professional skull and bone cleaning, bringing every skull back to a clean, natural, display-worthy finish that you’ll be proud to hang on the wall for years to come.

Whether it’s your first bear or the biggest one you’ve ever taken, we’ll treat every trophy with the care and attention it deserves.

Good luck this season, hunt hard, hunt safe, and here’s to a year full of heavy bears and great stories around camp.

Just a reminder!

I always recommend leaving a little bit of the neck when cutting off an animal head. Unless you know exactly where the two bones meet between the skull and neck.

Here’s a skull that unfortunately got a saw right through it.
