Sierra Ferrell is an amazingly talented Singer Songwriter. A fast rising star. The more I hear her music and performance the more intrigued I am to hear more. She has this vaudeville style of bluegrass country that's unlike anything I've heard and I think that is just what we need to keep our interest in live performance on fire.

Happy Memorial day weekend!
I am currently working on MySongQuest.com. I am improving the health, error reporting, security, and other backbone structures to help strengthen the site. This will improve the user experience, but it is nothing that will pop out and make you really notice it.

In the past two months, I've scaled back my activity on MSQ, taking breaks and redirecting creative energy by doing something else. It keeps the engine on, and it helps to discover new and refreshing ideas.

When collaborating with cowriters and producers and hiring session musicians, make sure everyone is aware of the splits. Fill out a split sheet. If you're not sure what it looks like, there's a a usable example in the projects section at mysongquest.com

A flashback to the day I signed the paperwork that finally brought my songs back. It was a very very special day when that happened.

I never owned the songs I wrote. Sometimes I still can’t believe it. It was a really long journey, but after 56 years, it feels so good having them back home where they belong.
