Happy 69th Birthday to my beautiful Mom. ❤️🎂

This birthday feels different.

This year brought a cancer diagnosis, and suddenly time, family, and even the smallest ordinary moments became so much more precious.

Mom, watching you walk through this chapter has reminded me of the incredible strength you carry—and just how deeply you are woven into who I am.

There’s a reason you are the third butterfly tattooed on my rib cage. 🦋

You are permanently a part of me. Close to my heart. A symbol of love, strength, transformation, and a bond that no diagnosis, difficult season, or passage of time could ever change.

Today, I’m not celebrating cancer.

I’m celebrating YOU.

69 years of life.
69 years of strength.
69 years of love, memories, laughter, and a legacy that lives through all of us.

This is why people making decent money still feel broke.

A lot of people are earning more than they ever have.

And somehow it still feels like they’re losing ground.

That’s because groceries, housing, cars, insurance, gas, utilities, childcare, repairs, and basic life all got more expensive at the same time.

You can’t budget your way out of everything doubling around you.

Yes, personal responsibility matters.

Yes, lifestyle creep is real.

But pretending inflation didn’t punch regular families in the mouth is ridiculous.

A bigger paycheck feels great until the bigger mortgage, bigger grocery bill, bigger insurance premium, and bigger car payment all show up at the same time.

This is why so many people feel stuck.

They’re making more money.

Life just got more expensive first.

I’d still fix the graphic before posting it, especially the “cost went up 237%” line. The broader point works, but that number doesn’t match the items shown.

How many times have you told yourself, “I’ll start later?”
