β° CHANGE YOUR CLOCKS, CHANGE YOUR BATTERIES! ππ
As we prepare to turn our clocks back, don't forget to take a few extra minutes to check your smoke alarms!
π₯ A few important reminders:
- Change the batteries in your smoke alarms (unless they have sealed 10-year batteries).
- Test your smoke alarms to make sure they're working properly.
- Replace smoke alarms that are 10 years old or older. Smoke alarms should generally be replaced every 10 years, or sooner if recommended by the manufacturer.
- Make sure you have working smoke alarms on every level of your home and inside and outside sleeping areas.
A working smoke alarm can give you and your family the precious seconds needed to escape a house fire.
β€οΈ We want you to stay safe, not become one of our calls!
Change Your Clocks. Change Your Batteries. Check Your Smoke Alarms.
π Stay safe, Fluvanna County!
