Let’s make learning FUN at home!

Welcome! I’m Melissa, your early childhood education specialist.

I help busy parents (like you!) figure out FUN ways to keep kids learning, whether they attend preschool, public school, private school, charter school, or home school.

I have a Bachelor of Arts degree in Elementary Education with a specialization in Reading. After graduating from college, I taught grades 1-4 before taking some time off from teaching to focus on my family. My husband and I have been married for 14 years and we have two daughters. Addie, our 11 year old, was born 14 weeks early in 2008. She faced a number of challenges, including speech delays. Addie is now a joyful, healthy girl who loves music, art, and creative writing. Our younger daughter, Kate, is eight years old. She is an auditory/kinesthetic learner with a passion for math. She loves to dance and read books all day long!

Rolling Prairie Readers is an online community where all moms are free to leave comparisons behind and embrace the parent they were meant to be. As parents, I think it's important for all of us to have a safe, kid-free zone to come and chat with others, grab what we need, and then get right back to work raising awesome people.
