Meet the Faces Behind EPN! 📸

🎲 Today we’re shining the spotlight on our final BOD member Shannon Humphrey, Social Media Chair! 🎲

Shannon Humphrey is the Treasury Management Specialist at PenAir Credit Union. Shannon has worked in the financial industry for 13 years. A reformed banker, she was converted to the credit union side over 2 years ago when PACU asked her to help them expand their commercial services to include treasury management. Shannon has found the credit union industry to be wonderfully welcoming and collaborative, and has been thankful & excited for every opportunity to make new connections along the Florida Gulf Coast.

As a Navy brat, Shannon spent her childhood moving around every few years but has always considered Northwest FL to be her “home.” She officially put down roots here in 2022 after graduating from the University of Central Oklahoma with a bachelor's degree in finance.

In her spare time, Shannon loves to camp and explore the outdoors with her partner Joshua, play board games and TTRPG’s such as Dungeons & Dragons, read fantasy novels, and love on her fur-babies: 2 dogs and 2 cats. A few surprising facts about Shannon are that she loves live music (particularly pop-punk and metal), and that she is a retired roller derby player!

🦈Our next BOD member to be in the spotlight is Robb Olson, Volunteer Chair! 🦈

Robb Olson is a Systems & Network Administrator at Members First Credit Union of Florida, and has been with the credit union for nearly seven years. His journey began as a Teller, and through an opportunity to combine his passion for technology with his career, he advanced into his current role as System and Network Administrator. Today, Robb enjoys solving problems, helping others, and supporting the technology that keeps team members and members connected. He is excited to be part of the Emerging Professionals Network community, where he looks forward to building meaningful relationships with fellow credit union professionals and learning from others who share a passion for career growth.

Robb believes that some of the best opportunities come from staying curious, embracing lifelong learning, and being willing to say “yes” when new challenges arise. He looks forward to connecting with others, sharing experiences, and growing alongside a network of professionals dedicated to strengthening the credit union movement. A “fun” fact about Robb (and a great conversation starter) is that he is a shark bite survivor!

🎉 Continuing on with our BOD spotlights, today we introduce Noelle White, Events Chair! 🎉

Noelle White is a Recruiter at PenAir Credit Union. A Florida Gulf Coast resident for more than 30 years, Noelle joined the PenAir Credit Union HR team in 2024, bringing 25 years of leadership experience developing high-performing teams across the Southeast. Prior to PenAir, she held senior leadership roles with Studer Family of Companies, Harbor Freight Tools, and Limited Brands.

Passionate about connecting talented people with meaningful opportunities, Noelle enjoys identifying potential in others, developing future leaders, and building collaborative teams. Her leadership philosophy is simple: almost anything can be said with kindness, professionalism, and good intent.

Noelle loves networking, traveling, and creating meaningful connections both professionally and personally. Outside of work, she enjoys outdoor adventures, discovering new books (her favorite is The Giving Tree), and cheering on the Florida Gators with her husband and son.

Whether she's building teams, boarding a plane, diving into a new book, or expanding her network, Noelle believes life's best opportunities start with saying "yes" to new experiences and new connections.

Today’s BOD spotlight is on Alexsis Mills, Secretary! 💪🐱

Alexsis Mills is the Human Resources Generalist at Loyalty Credit Union. Alexsis has worked for Loyalty Credit Union for three years. By day, she works in Human Resources, and by night, she is a fitness instructor! She is part of the 5 AM workout crew, preferring to get moving before the world wakes up, fueled by grit and Celsius.

Alexsis is married to an amazing husband, and together they are raising two incredible kids and three cats, all under three years old. Born in Pensacola, Alexsis is a true crime, good food, and fitness enthusiast. She describes herself as more of a quiet observer than the loudest voice in the room.

💎 Today we’re spotlighting the next member on our BOD, Ash Murcko, Treasurer! 💎

Ash Murcko began her career at Members First Credit Union in 1995, starting as a Teller at 19 years old. Throughout the years, she has had the opportunity to grow and learn from many different positions within the organization! She loves the Credit Union culture and especially values the strong sense of family, connection, and service it creates among employees and members.

Outside of work, Ash enjoys volunteering in her church, decorating, thrifting, and using her creativity to turn items others might throw away into something beautiful and useful. Most of all, she enjoys spending time with her husband, children, and grandsons.

Meet the Faces Behind EPN! 📸

✈️ Next up in our Board of Directors spotlight is Austin White, Vice President! ✈️

Austin White currently serves as the Accounting Manager at CU Mortgage Express. Austin grew up in the Pensacola area and started his career with Harvesters Credit Union in November of 2019 as a teller. While working at Harvesters, Austin was also attending college at the University of West Florida and received his bachelor’s degree in accounting in December of 2021. Shortly after receiving his degree in accounting, Austin moved into the accounting department at Harvesters Credit Union where he worked as a staff accountant for about a year. Austin was then offered a position as the accounting manager of CU Mortgage Express, a mortgage CUSO launched by Harvesters Credit Union in 2021.

Austin is a dog dad x 2, and a high-flying fact about him is that he has a private pilot’s certificate!

Throughout the remainder of the month, we’re spotlighting the incredible leaders who help make the Emerging Professionals Network of NWFL thrive through connection, community, and FUN! Get to know our Board of Directors and learn more about the folks who are shaping the future of Northwest Florida’s credit unions.

⭐️Our first BOD spotlight is Christen Matheny, NW Florida EPN President!⭐️

Christen is the Card Services Manager at Members First Credit Union of Florida. She began her career in the credit union industry in October 2019. Since then, she has had the opportunity to grow through several roles, starting on the front line as a Teller and later serving as a Branch Supervisor. She then transitioned to the back office, where she expanded her expertise in Card Services. Christen also briefly managed the Contact Center before returning to Card Services, where she currently serves as Area Manager.

In her current role, Christen works closely with both credit union staff and members, with a strong focus on fraud prevention and card services. Each day brings new opportunities to deepen her knowledge and strengthen efforts to protect both members and the credit union. While her experience spans multiple areas of the organization, she continues to approach every day with a commitment to learning and professional growth.

Outside of work, Christen has been happily married to her husband, Josh, for nine years and is a proud fur mom to their cats. She enjoys spending time at home watching movies, playing Nintendo Switch games with friends, and hosting gatherings. She also loves taking walks and eagerly looks forward to the "ber" months each year, when she can decorate for the seasons and fully embrace everything fall and holiday-related!

A big, big thank you to all of our friends and colleagues who joined us for our Pints, Purpose, & Professionals last week!

With your help, we were able to donate 83 pounds of food and $200 to ! That's 121 healthy meals for Northwest Florida! ✨🍽✨ We couldn't be more proud of your efforts. On top of that, we made meaningful connections with others in the NWFL credit union industry and had a blast!
