Finally slowed down enough to do a painting today 👨🏼‍🎨


This piece was inspired by a sketch Charith did at the Guggenheim earlier this year. During her visit she was really inspired by this 14th century Austrian stained glass Virgin and Child.

I was hired by the City of Buckeye to create a public art piece that will be wrapped on one of the cities traffic cabinet boxes — and I’d love your input!

The theme for this piece is “Mountains” — inspired by the beauty, strength, and calm presence that surround us here in the West Valley.

The image you see here is a traffic box I designed for the City of Surprise in 2024 — and now I’m inviting Buckeye residents to help guide the colors, mood, and meaning of this next design.
