Great morning at Peoria Business Network! 👏

Today we heard from Ed Riesberg with Top Shelf Digital Media — where “we play your brand.”

Ed shared how businesses can turn any TV into in-house advertising for free, creating a simple and powerful way to showcase services, promotions, testimonials, and more right inside your space.

And if you’re looking to invest marketing dollars?
You can have your ads shown for less than a penny per play.

It was a great reminder that marketing doesn’t always have to be complicated or costly — sometimes it’s about using the tools already around you in smarter ways.

We’re grateful to be part of a network that continues to bring valuable resources and innovative ideas to the Peoria business community.

We also learned from Ken Morales of Peoria Sign & Design, who gave us a look into his journey into sign making, how he got started in the industry, and some of the exciting projects he’s worked on throughout the community.

Thank you to both speakers for sharing your expertise and experiences, and to everyone who continues to show up and support one another within the network.

Peoria Business Network – Meeting Recap

At yesterday’s Peoria Business Network meeting, we heard two thoughtful and timely presentations centered on planning for the year ahead. Brittany Clone with Fortress Bank spoke about resolutions, encouraging us not to overload ourselves with too many goals at once. She emphasized breaking goals down into manageable steps and considering what we might remove from our lives or routines—rather than only focusing on what to add—to create meaningful, sustainable change.

We also heard from Austin Sanford, Financial Advisor with Edward Jones, who shared updates on recent changes to various IRA options (including SIMPLE and Roth IRAs) that allow individuals to save more toward retirement. Austin highlighted how proactive planning can support the lifestyle you want after retirement and shared his passion for working with individuals navigating major life transitions such as job changes, growing families, divorce, or the loss of a partner.

Thank you to both speakers for sharing valuable insight as we head into the new year.

✨ Peoria Business Network – Final Meeting of the Year Recap ✨

We wrapped up our final meeting of the year with a great presentation from Matt Wiesner with Envision Insurance. Matt shared his career path and provided insight into how he supports businesses through commercial insurance, helping owners protect what they’ve worked hard to build.

It was a meaningful way to close out the year — learning from one another, strengthening relationships, and reflecting on the value this group brings week after week.

Thank you to everyone who showed up consistently throughout the year. We’re looking forward to continued growth and connection in the year ahead!

🍩 Peoria Business Network — Holiday Week Meet-Up! ☕

Yesterday’s meeting looked a little different… and a lot more delicious. 😄
Our group gathered at Tadough’s in Peoria for donuts, coffee, and a chance to slow down and connect during the holiday week.

Instead of name tags and presentations, we swapped business tips over pastries and tried (with mixed success) to squeeze ourselves into their life-sized donut photo prop 🍩📸 — because who doesn’t want to start their morning inside a giant donut?

Grateful for this group, grateful for the laughs, and grateful for local spots that make mornings a little sweeter.

Here’s to relationships, community, and donuts… especially donuts.

Peoria Business Network – Meeting Recap

Yesterday’s meeting was full of great insights and practical takeaways!

💡 Education Spotlight:
We heard from Brittany Clone with Fortress Bank, who shared a timely reminder to pause and be mindful during the holiday season. She encouraged us to stay present and remember that nothing magical happens on January 1st — it’s simply a new calendar page. Don’t let the holidays freeze your momentum; keep moving forward with intention and balance.

🔧 Member Presentation:
Tim Leach from Leach Heating, Cooling, and Plumbing shared expert advice on HVAC systems, answering common questions about when it makes sense to repair vs. replace, average costs for units, and easy ways to save on heating and cooling. (Hint: make good use of that house fan!)

Thank you to everyone who joined us for another morning of learning, laughter, and business connection.
