Hear ye, hear ye! The time to rid yourselves of your bags of leaves begins today!

The cities of Littleton and Englewood continue the annual leaf-recycling program for the south metro area. In the previous 25 years of the program, 33,500 cubic yards of leaves have been recycled. Tire recycling is no longer offered.

There is a $6 gate fee to cover handling and shipping the material collected over the two-week period. Residents must show proof of Littleton or Englewood residency (driver’s license or utility bill with address) at the gate to receive this discounted rate.

When: 7 a.m. to 4 p.m., October 31 to November 11
8 a.m. to 1 p.m., Saturday, November 5 only

We have been using Richer Lands Compost for the last two years and have been extremely happy with the product and the service. We use the compost every day for all our Soil Amendment and Installation jobs. We do an average of 350 jobs that require both soil amendment and installation within our 8-month season. Our average yard size is 1100sf which requires a minimum of 3.5 yards of compost for soil amendment. So, at a minimum, we are purchasing over 1200 yards per season just for our installation jobs. In addition, we offer the compost for sale in Bulk and in one yard bulk bags which adds another 200 yards per season for a total of 1400 yards. It’s obvious that quality is a priority for them since we never get any soil related complaints such as weeds or problems with sod dying due to poor soil. The City of Aurora has approved their compost for use in the sod jobs which require review and approval by the city before they allow us to use the product. Lastly, the Service has been outstanding. They’re always willing to help in a pinch and great to work with. We would recommend Richer Lands Compost to anybody. The Sod Guy Parker Colorado
