🔥 100°+ TEXAS HEAT… AND THIS LAWN IS STILL THRIVING. 🔥🌱

Think it’s “too hot” in the Rio Grande Valley to have a thick, green, healthy lawn?

This lawn says otherwise. 👀💚

Extreme temperatures don’t automatically mean your lawn has to turn brown, thin out, or struggle all summer. The difference is having a consistent, properly managed turf care program instead of waiting until problems appear.

That’s exactly what our Mr Lush Lawn Yearly Treatment Program is designed to do. 🌱

Our program takes a comprehensive approach to turf health, including:

✅ Proper fertilization & turf nutrition
✅ Soil management
✅ W**d prevention & control
✅ Disease management
✅ Grub prevention & control
✅ Chinch bug & turf-feeding insect management
✅ Treatments adjusted according to seasonal conditions and turf needs

The lawn in this video isn't looking like this by accident.

When temperatures climb past 100°F, turf is under tremendous environmental stress. Proper nutrition, irrigation, mowing practices, soil management, and preventative treatments become even more important.

We don't just treat problems — we manage the lawn throughout the year.

That's one of the biggest benefits of enrolling in our Yearly Treatment Program. Instead of calling us after the lawn is already declining, our clients receive consistent professional management designed to keep their turf healthier, stronger, and better prepared for the conditions we experience here in South Texas. ☀️🌱

And when your lawn can look THIS GOOD in 100°+ temperatures… imagine what it can look like when conditions improve. 😮‍💨🔥

💔🙏 PRAYERS FOR TEXAS & LOUISIANA 🙏💔

Please keep Houston, Galveston, Beaumont, Port Arthur, Southeast Texas and Southwest Louisiana in your prayers as Tropical Storm Edouard approaches the Gulf Coast.

This is a storm everyone in its path needs to take seriously.

🌧️ Heavy rainfall & flash flooding
💨 Strong, damaging wind gusts
🌊 Coastal flooding & storm surge
⚡ Potential power outages
🚗 Dangerous travel conditions

Some areas could receive several inches of rain, with locally higher amounts possible. The biggest concern will be flash flooding, especially in low-lying and flood-prone areas. Conditions can change quickly, so please continue monitoring official weather alerts.

If you have family, friends, employees or loved ones anywhere in the path of this storm, CALL THEM. Make sure they're aware and preparing now—not when conditions begin deteriorating.

Prepare the basics:
• Drinking water
• Non-perishable/canned food
• Flashlights & batteries
• Charged phones & power banks
• Medications
• Fuel
• Sandbags if you're in a flood-prone area
• Secure anything outdoors that could become airborne

⚠️ Most importantly: NEVER attempt to drive through flooded roadways. Turn Around, Don't Drown.

Texas has been through storms like this before, but that doesn't mean we should ever become complacent.

🙏 Please SHARE this post so we can help get the word out. Check on your family, check on your neighbors, and keep everyone along the Texas and Louisiana Gulf Coast in your prayers.

Stay prepared. Stay informed. Stay safe. ❤️🙏

🚨 BERMUDA OWNERS — YOUR LAWN ISN’T DEAD. IT MAY JUST NEED A RESET. 🌱🔥

You’ve probably heard us say that Hybrid Bermuda is KING in South Texas… but maintaining that dense, tight, carpet-like appearance requires more than just fertilizer and water.

Sometimes, the lawn needs a Height of Cut Reset — also known as a scalp reset.

In this video, we’re taking you through the actual procedure and process of resetting the height of cut on one of our Hybrid Bermuda lawns and showing you WHY this cultural practice can be so beneficial when performed correctly.

🌱 SO WHAT EXACTLY DID WE SUGGEST?

As Bermuda grows, the lower portion of the plant begins accumulating older stems, stolons and brown plant material underneath the green canopy.

If the mowing height continues creeping higher and higher, eventually you're maintaining the lawn on top of that older material instead of keeping the green growing point where you want it.

That's when Bermuda can start looking brown immediately after mowing, even though the lawn itself may be perfectly healthy.

A properly timed Height of Cut Reset lowers that canopy and allows us to establish a new, lower mowing height.

🔥 THE PROCESS MATTERS.

We don't simply drop the mower as low as possible and call it a day.

The lawn is evaluated first, then the height is progressively reduced to remove excess canopy and older plant material. The debris is removed, the new mowing height is established, and the turf is given the opportunity to recover and produce fresh lateral growth.

When properly managed afterward with:

✅ Correct irrigation
✅ Proper fertility
✅ Consistent mowing
✅ Soil management
✅ Adequate sunlight
✅ Proper mowing frequency

…Hybrid Bermuda can respond extremely aggressively during active growing conditions.

⚠️ YES — IT'S GOING TO LOOK UGLY AT FIRST.

That's the part homeowners sometimes aren't prepared for.

Immediately following a reset, the lawn can look brown, thin and stressed.

That's because we've intentionally removed much of the green canopy and exposed the lower portion of the Bermuda plant.

But we're not chasing how the lawn looks today.

We're managing how that turf performs weeks and months from now.

The goal is to encourage a lower, tighter and more uniform canopy that can be maintained consistently at the desired height of cut.

💡 HERE'S THE BIGGEST MISTAKE AFTER A RESET:

Allowing the Bermuda to grow excessively tall again before mowing.

Once we've established our new height, mowing frequency becomes extremely important. Bermuda performs best when we're removing a small portion of the leaf blade consistently rather than repeatedly allowing it to become overgrown and cutting it back aggressively.

This is the difference between simply cutting grass and actually managing turfgrass.

🌱 HEIGHT OF CUT + WATER + FERTILITY + SOIL MANAGEMENT + MOWING FREQUENCY

They all work together.

And when Hybrid Bermuda is managed correctly during our South Texas growing season…

🔥 THIS GRASS IS HARD TO BEAT.

Watch the entire process and pay attention to the transformation.

Would you let us scalp your Bermuda this low if you knew what it was going to look like afterward? 👀👇

👑 BERMUDA IS KING — AND THIS IS WHY. 👑

When Hybrid Bermuda is properly managed, there’s just something different about it. 🔥

This is one of our clients’ lawns right here in the Rio Grande Valley, in the middle of SUMMER — dense, tight, healthy, and so deep green it almost has that blue-green appearance. 💙🌱

☀️ South Texas heat? Bermuda loves it.
🔥 Full sun? Even better.
✂️ Proper mowing? It gets tighter and denser.
💧 Proper irrigation? Deep roots and strong growth.
🧪 Proper fertility & soil management? That color speaks for itself.

But lawns like this don't happen by accident.

Proper fertility. Proper irrigation. Proper mowing. Proper soil management. Consistency.

That’s the difference between simply having Bermuda grass and MANAGING Bermuda grass.

For the Rio Grande Valley, where our summers bring intense sunlight and extreme temperatures, a properly established and professionally managed Bermuda lawn can absolutely thrive.

And when Hybrid Bermuda is dialed in?

That deep blue-green color is HARD to beat. 👑🔥

This is why we say…

BERMUDA IS KING. 👑🌱

🔥 “IT’S TOO HOT IN SOUTH TEXAS TO HAVE A NICE LAWN.”

Is it really? 👀

This Bermuda transformation says otherwise.

Every summer we hear the same thing:
☀️ “It’s too hot.”
🥵 “The sun is burning my grass.”
💧 “You can’t keep a lawn green in this heat.”

But heat alone isn’t the problem. A lawn that is properly managed is far more capable of handling summer stress.

This transformation comes down to THREE fundamentals:

🌱 PROPER FERTILIZATION — Feeding the turf according to its needs, growth cycle, and environmental conditions. More fertilizer isn't always better. Proper nutrition and timing matter.

💧 PROPER IRRIGATION — Bermuda needs adequate moisture, but blindly adding more water isn't the answer. Proper irrigation means getting water into the root zone efficiently and encouraging a stronger, deeper root system.

🧪 SOIL MANAGEMENT — You can throw fertilizer and water at a lawn all day, but if the soil isn't functioning properly, you're fighting an uphill battle. Managing soil conditions helps improve water movement, nutrient availability, rooting, and overall turf performance.

So before blaming the South Texas heat, ask yourself:

Is the lawn actually being managed correctly?

Because when soil + water + nutrition work together, Bermuda can do exactly what it's built to do:

THRIVE IN THE HEAT. 🔥🌱

The proof is in the transformation.

🔥 “Grass just can’t survive the Rio Grande Valley heat.”

We hear it every summer—but this lawn tells a different story.

☀️ Extreme South Texas heat.
🌡️ High soil temperatures.
💧 Increased water demand.
🌵 Extended dry conditions.

And yet, this turf continues to perform.

The difference? Proper SOIL MANAGEMENT.

Keeping a lawn healthy through an RGV summer isn't just about throwing more fertilizer at it or running the sprinklers longer. If the soil isn't accepting, distributing, and retaining water effectively, you're already fighting an uphill battle.

Our soil management program focuses on improving the soil-water relationship—helping irrigation pe*****te the root zone more uniformly, reducing localized dry areas, and allowing the turf to make better use of the water that's already being applied.

Healthy turf starts below the surface.

You can't control the RGV heat—but you CAN manage the growing environment your turf has to survive in.

🌱 Better soil management. Better water efficiency. Better turf performance.

This is what professional turf management looks like.

Mr Lush Lawn LLC
We don't just treat the grass. We manage what it grows in. 🌱

🚨 WE’RE NOT EVERYONE’S CUP OF TEA… AND THAT’S OKAY. 😏🌱

Anybody can buy a sprayer. Anybody can throw fertilizer down. Anybody can call themselves a “turf professional.”

But RESULTS? Knowledge? Proper diagnosis? Consistency?
That’s where the separation happens. 💯

We don’t need to convince the RGV that we’re one of the best — OUR LAWNS DO THE TALKING. 🏆

While others are guessing what’s wrong with a lawn, we’re diagnosing it.
While others are copying programs, we’re building treatment strategies around the actual turf, soil, season, pest pressure, and disease pressure in front of us.

There are levels to turf management…
and we didn’t come this far to blend in with everybody else. 😮‍💨

No gimmicks.
No miracle products.
No guessing.
No false promises.

Just AGRONOMICS, EXPERIENCE, CONSISTENCY & RESULTS.

You can call it cocky.
We call it knowing exactly what we bring to the table. 😏

🚨 FALSE HOPE WON’T SAVE A POORLY DIAGNOSED LAWN.

This homeowner reached out to us after her lawn continued to decline despite previous attempts to correct the problem that was consulted by another "professional"

The biggest issue? The lawn was poorly diagnosed from the beginning, which led to the wrong products and chemistry being recommended and applied. Instead of addressing the actual cause of the decline, valuable time and money were spent treating the wrong problem.

🌱 In turf management, proper diagnosis comes BEFORE chemical selection.

Fertilizers, fungicides, insecticides, and herbicides all have specific purposes. Applying a product simply because a lawn is yellow, thinning, or declining doesn't mean you're addressing the underlying cause. The correct chemistry is only effective when it's being used for the correct problem, at the correct rate, and at the correct time.

By the time we inspected this property, our job wasn't to sell the homeowner more hope—it was to properly evaluate the turf, identify what was actually happening, determine the extent of the damage, and establish a realistic recovery plan.

Sometimes the answer isn't "spray something else." Sometimes you have to correct the diagnosis first.

That's where Mr Lush Lawn LLC comes in. 🌱

✅ Proper turf diagnosis
✅ Appropriate product & chemistry selection
✅ Realistic recovery expectations
✅ Corrective management based on actual site conditions

Stop guessing. Stop throwing chemicals at symptoms. Diagnose the problem first, then build the treatment around the diagnosis.

🌱 THIS is what a well-managed lawn looks like.

No filters. No enhancements. No overnight transformation — just years of consistent, professional turf management and proper cultural practices.

This property has been under our care for years, and right now, the lawn is looking better than it ever has. 🔥

Results like these aren't created by one fertilizer application or by simply making the grass “green.” A high-quality lawn is built over time by managing the entire turf system:

✅ Proper Fertility Management — supplying nutrients according to the turf's needs without pushing unnecessary growth.

✅ Soil Management — improving water movement, nutrient availability, and overall conditions within the root zone.

✅ Disease Management — identifying and managing disease pressure before it has the opportunity to cause significant turf decline.

✅ Insect Management — monitoring and controlling destructive pests such as chinch bugs and grubs when pressure is present.

✅ W**d Management — reducing competition so the desirable turf can become thicker, healthier, and more uniform.

✅ Proper Irrigation & Cultural Practices — because even the best treatment program needs proper watering and mowing to reach its full potential.

The biggest difference? CONSISTENCY.

Healthy turf isn't built in a few weeks. When professional agronomic management is combined with a homeowner who follows the proper cultural practices, the lawn can continue improving season after season.

This lawn is a perfect example of what our Yearly Lawn Treatment Program is designed to accomplish.

We don't just chase color.

We manage the soil. We manage the turf. We manage the problems that prevent a lawn from reaching its potential.
