Just because it is behind a wall does not mean it doesn't have to meet code compliance. Too many companies think it's ok to leave work like this even knowing it can lead to fires, interference and loss of operations.

No matter if it is exposed or covered, LIT follows all local, state and federal code requirements every time.

A nightmare situation made worse by decades of "I can do it cheaper". Non-existent grounding, bootlegs and worse.

We corrected some of the worst offenders here and when they are ready we will slowly tackle the rest. 2 new commercial grade fused service disconnects, new cable new sub-panel.

We will try to get back out there once the wall is repaired to get some final final images.

An unfortunate situation of either a friend who is an "electrician" or "I can do it cheaper" bit this home owner in the rear when selling this home. From no grounds, to splices all over in walls and ceilings and even extension cords running in walls!

It will never benefit a person to cut corners. You will eventually pay more, be it from repairs to the damage they caused or worse, a fire.

We managed to get everything the inspector flagged in order and compliant for the future home owner but it took some work.

Before you decide to DIY, call a friend who is not qualified, or go for the cheapest bid, remember, it will ALWAYS cost more in the end.
