CONSIDER A CLAIM IF YOU HAVE ONE OF THESE CAMP LEJUENE-RELATED ILLNESSES
Veterans and their families who lived or worked at Camp Lejeune in North Carolina could be in line for significant compensation based on their ill health linked to contaminated water from the site.
If you or your family were located at Camp Lejuene for at least 30 days between 1953 and 1987 and you are now unwell with cancers, then you may qualify to file a Camp Lejeune water contamination claim.
This is because two water wells were contaminated with toxic chemicals at Camp Lejeune. These wells supplied contaminated drinking water to children at daycare or school, military families for drinking and bathing, patients in the hospital, and service members and civilian workers.
While these wells have been closed for over three decades, they continue impacting veterans and their families through ill-health to varying degrees.
Exposure to the contaminants has led researchers to link at least 15 illnesses and medical conditions.
At this time, the Department of Veterans Affairs acknowledges the following forms of Camp Lejeune cancer: leukemia, oesophagal cancer, lung cancer, breast cancer, bladder cancer, kidney cancer, multiple myeloma and non-Hodgkin's lymphoma.
There are also related illnesses and conditions, such as reproductive problems, birth defects, and Parkinson's disease, with the Camp Lejeune water contamination.
According to research, veterans who lived and worked at Camp Lejeune between 1953 and 1987 were 10% more likely to die of cancer. They also faced a 35% higher risk for kidney cancer, a 42% higher risk for liver cancer, and a 47% higher risk for Hodgkin's lymphoma at Camp Lejeune.
Camp Lejeune Compensation Program (CLCP) is helping thousands of US military families get justice and compensation for the cancers and injuries linked to the contamination.
This has been primed by new federal legislation – the Camp Lejeune Justice Act of 2022 – being considered by Congress. It allows individuals to file lawsuits and recover damages for the harms stemming from exposure to the contaminated water.
The Camp Lejeune Justice Act gives families the right to file a claim for the first time against the U.S. Government. Filing a Camp Lejeune water contamination lawsuit is the only means you have to obtain the compensation you deserve for suffering, damages, and loss related to Camp Lejeune's cancer.
CLCP has some of America's most experienced personal injury and toxic chemical liability lawyers. That's why we explain the legal process, timeline, and potential outcomes. In short, the Program's team can get to the truth and make sure cases are settled wherever possible in the shortest possible time for maximum compensation.
