Panel 1: Before Birth: Mental Health, Preparation & Policy
I am honored to be part of this month’s Mental Health Meet Up hosted by State Rep. Morgan Cephas, with a focused conversation on mental health before birth. This panel will explore preparation, stress, prevention, and the systems that shape maternal outcomes for Black women and birthing people.
In my opinion prioritizing mental health before pregnancy is crucial; issues must be recognized and addressed. This topic is particularly meaningful to me as a woman of color who cares deeply about my sisters and future generations 🌸. So,

HEART & HUSTLE MOMENTS 💛🔥
I was walking through Cherry Hill Mall when I spotted the lovely Kenya and felt led to stop her — and I’m so glad I did.
In this Heart & Hustle Moment, Kenya shares real entrepreneur honesty — the part people don’t always talk about.
The passion is there… but sometimes dealing with customer inconsistency can be challenging.
This series is all about the real side of entrepreneurship —
not just the highlight reels, but the heart it takes to keep going and the hustle it takes to build anyway.
💬 If you’re an entrepreneur, you’ve probably felt this before.
Let’s show Kenya some love and support her businesses:
✨
✨
Drop a 💛 if you felt this.
Drop a 🔥 if you’re still showing up even on the hard days.
Because entrepreneurship isn’t easy —
but giving up is not an option.

✨Back in the day, Saturday mornings meant baseboards, laundry, and sweeping the street. 😩
Now my grandbabies think work means scrolling IG and dancing on TikTok. 😂
So I make sure they’re part of the business — tracking orders, packing shirts, and learning how ownership really works.
Because legacy isn’t just what you leave behind…
it’s what you involve them in. 💛
I’m not waiting for the school system to teach entrepreneurship.
I’m teaching it at the table, in the living room, and in the business.
What are you teaching your grandchildren? 👀
