Today, we mourn the loss of Gloria Steinem — a trailblazer, journalist, activist and one of the most influential voices for women of our time.

For generations of women, Gloria helped change what was possible. She challenged the status quo, gave voice to issues too often ignored, and spent her life fighting for equality and ensuring that women were seen, heard and valued.

Her legacy reminds us why communities like Women in Retail matter. Progress happens when women support one another, share their stories, use their voices and help create opportunities for those coming behind them.

Gloria once said, “The story of women’s struggle for equality belongs to no single feminist nor to any one organization but to the collective efforts of all who care about human rights.”

Today, we honor her extraordinary life and the path she helped create for so many women.

Thank you, Gloria, for your courage, your voice and your unwavering belief in what women can accomplish together. ❤️

AI can enhance the work. But the human experience is what makes it meaningful. ✨

At CommerceNext, American Girl President Jamie Cygielman shared an important perspective on AI’s role in retail: it’s a powerful tool and enabler, but the creativity, connection and storytelling that bring brands to life still start with people. 💡

As AI continues to evolve, the opportunity isn’t to replace the human element—it’s to use technology to amplify it.

Remembering Dolly Parton and the leadership lessons she leaves behind. 💗

Dolly Parton was an icon. But she was also an entrepreneur, philanthropist, businesswoman and masterful storyteller who built an extraordinary legacy without ever losing sight of who she was.

She knew the power of reinvention, but never confused evolving with becoming someone else. She turned her creativity into businesses, her roots into a source of strength, and her success into opportunities to give back — including through the Imagination Library, which has put hundreds of millions of books into the hands of children around the world.

For women in retail and leadership, there’s a lot to admire in the way Dolly lived and worked: know what you stand for. Understand the people you serve. Keep growing. Bet on yourself. And bring others with you as you rise.

Perhaps the most enduring lesson is also the simplest: You don’t have to become someone else to build something extraordinary.

Today, we’re remembering Dolly not only for the joy she brought to generations, but for the example she leaves behind. 💗

“𝐒𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐞𝐬 𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐪𝐮𝐞𝐞𝐧.” 👑 And brick-and-mortar isn’t going anywhere.

Amiee Bayer-Thomas, Chief Retail Officer at Ulta Beauty, shares why advancements in technology are actually helping drive consumers back to stores in this conversation from CommerceNext.

The takeaway? The future of retail isn’t digital vs. physical—it’s about how the two work together to create better experiences.
