THE LEGACY “CONTINUUM” – rear view and forward looking
Serving others and making a real difference in their lives is a mindset and a purpose that translates to fulfillment.
These pictures have so much significance to me – they are separated by about 15 years.
In the earlier photo, I didn’t have nearly the same focus on my legacy as I do now.
Over time and up to today, it is at the center of how I think and what I do, with a focus on these two questions:
1) How can I make a difference?
2) What more can I do to have a positive and lasting impact on all those who I care for?
What started as supporting our children with school, sports, dance, music, martial arts and other interests, has turned into “adult” conversations:
…with our twins about college internships to plan for their future careers
…with our youngest HS senior about supporting her future at Lynn University sports management program while also playing women’s lacrosse.
I’m sure many of the parents reading this can totally relate…
Professionally, having pivoted through three career transitions into exciting new chapters, I’ve realized the common thread for all of them is a very similar focus:
helping other people
