Britt was in the neighborhood for a weekly regular reset client appointment and stopped in to say hi to our new team! It’s hard to get everyone together in one place now that we have different crews. We are so grateful for all our clients new and old that keep us busy. We love being a part of your big moments like welcoming a new baby, upgrading your family home, moving and starting a fresh chapter. 💕

When we organize a playroom, we’re thinking beyond how it looks when we leave. We’re thinking about how your family actually uses the space, what your children can manage independently, and how to make keeping it organized realistic.

Here’s what goes into creating a playroom that works:

🧩 Create zones for different activities. Books, pretend play, building toys, arts and crafts, and games all deserve designated homes. Keeping like items together makes it easier for kids to find what they want AND put things away.

🧺 Choose storage that can evolve. Cubby shelves, adjustable shelving, baskets, and interchangeable bins can transition from baby toys to LEGO collections, art supplies, books, and eventually hobbies. You shouldn’t need to redesign the entire room every few years.

🧸 Make organization age-appropriate. Younger children benefit from open bins, simple categories, and easy access. As they grow, we can introduce smaller categories, labels, and more detailed systems that encourage independence.

🔄 Plan for change. Toys get outgrown, interests shift, and new things come into the house. A good organizing system leaves room to grow and makes it easy to reassess what deserves space.

And here’s something we always remind families: An organized playroom is still supposed to get messy!
