Because we’ve all had to start somewhere! If you are in a season of being shifted then this is the time to move. I cannot tell you how this profession has tremendously blessed and changed my life, but if you have ever wondered or considered what this role means, then join me March 2nd, and I’ll tell you all about it!
I did not have a traditional path to this career, and honestly no formal education experience can prepare you for it. Grants is a niche path, but do not get it confused — niche does not mean less just because someone doesn’t understand its value!
During this 1 hour session, I will share my background, the meaningful work and opportunities I’ve encountered, what tools and resources I used along the way, and the connections that made it possible!
I look forward to meeting you! Register at the link in my bio!
Side note: Recruiters! Keep a lookout. I have something in the works for you too!

January 2025, I resigned from my full time management role in Baltimore, MD. Two years of weekly commuting and managing a team had come to a close. Leadership highlight moment: my Senior Grants Accountant was promoted into my former role by my recommendation. He was well prepared and it was a win for the organization!🙌🏾
I came home and made a phone call to the VP of a staffing firm and spent the next 11 months contracted at The Community College of Philadelphia Institutional Advancement & Foundation. I was their new Grants Administrator. This was my first experience working directly with Higher Education at this capacity. My work in The Consultancy as an advisor and Grant Writer positioned me for this opportunity, as I had a proven track record of landing my clients funding with strong writing skills and storytelling. I had over a decade of accounting, audit, and compliance experience reflected on my resume which made it a more attractive sell. 🤝
This role expanded my skills learning about cabinet, institutional policies, students, and varying fundraising strategies and technology. I was amazed with the team and their dedication to the students by acquiring funds for scholarships, basic needs, and programs. CCPs Nursing Program is nationally recognized.🏅
The sacrifice was scaling back to a select portfolio of clients in The Consultancy these last three years. A win nonetheless as the trade was acquiring invaluable skills working in leadership, managing time, people and resources; continued bridging organizational structure and workflows; and learning fundraising in Higher Ed. A reminder that success looks different based upon what’s meaningful to the individual.
Nothing was lost! I kept building a network, skills, and client base.🎉
How it ended: I gave notice to assume a full-time leadership role at Cooper Health System.🙏🏾 Don’t worry, The Consultancy is taking new clients this year ☺️.
Here’s to 2026!🥂See you soon.
