The mock5 editorial team had the opportunity to attend the 2023 IHA Health Literacy Conference, a virtual event covering a wide range of topics that apply to our work in health care. Health literacy is the capacity to obtain, process, and understand basic health information and services needed to make appropriate health decisions. Unfortunately, in the US a staggering 88% of adults experience health literacy limitations. This makes our role crucial as we manage the content and messaging for our resources and work with our clients to deliver accessible, human-centered patient and provider engagement with a primary focus on improving patient outcomes.
