I recently got a text from the campaign for Lawrence, a Republican who represents the 13th district in the Pennsylvania House of Representatives, stating he is “putting politics aside” to do good things for his constituents. So, I responded with this text, which will probably go straight to a bot. So I thought I’d share it here. I’m sure there are others who share my sentiments:

Sorry, but if John Lawrence was truly interested in putting politics aside, he would openly and proudly denounce the Trump/Trumpublicans platform (e.g. Project 2024) and run as an Independent. While he has done some good things, he's still politically aligned with the party of The BIG LIE, insurrection, "Christian" Nationalists, multiple attempts to repeal the ACA, xenophobia, voter suppression, and denying women's rights over their own bodies. When you sleep with dogs you get flees.

There was a time when my husband and I would split our ticket and vote for Republican and Democratic candidates, but no longer. The stakes for our democracy are much too high. My entire family and I are voting straight Democratic up and down the ballot.

👶 Children less than one year of age are more likely to drown at home.

Install safety latches and door k**b covers to keep children out of dangerous places like the bathroom, garage, and unsupervised spaces.

Keep In Mind: bathrooms aren't the only dangerous space in the house. Any receptacle that can hold an inch of water can be dangerous. Drain buckets and coolers when finished with them.
