crAZy week wrapup....I visited Tubac Presidio State Park, hung out with my buddies at Tempe History Museum, halfway installed a new display the Justice Museum, had a meeting at S'edav Va'aki Museum, evaluated and measured tons of cool artifacts at Pinal County Museum, and worked in an Ancestral O'Odham display at San Tan Historical Society. Now I'm off to Long Beach......NOT flying in the Cutter Pilatus!

crAZy week, continued. Private charter, anyone? I got a VIP tour of the Cutter Aviation FBO. This innovative business turns 100 in a couple years and it was fun to tour their facilities and learn more about the history of the family business. A couple of these photos are of their new Pilatus jet (it even had "new jet" smell!)......a little eye candy for my aviation friends!

crAZy week, day 1. museum 1. I'm smiling with Governor Mofford after putting the final touches on the AZ Capitol Museum's new school tour galleries. This project is the culmination of many months of collaboration with the museum staff. There are some fascinating stories here. Stop in sometime!

This week began with another glamorous 16-hour commute to work. Black coffee, a Candice Millard book on audio and leftover pizza for breakfast! Best job ever.

Made it to the Grand Canyon State before sunset! That's a record.

In my head, exhibit design is a pristine process, dreamed up in a serene office setting with a hot cup of coffee and a motivational playlist going. More often it's a messy brain fart that appears in the most unlikely and uninspiring of spots. Today, we are designing the new Pinal County Historical Museum at 0600 on concourse C of the DFW airport. At least the coffee is a constant!

Sometimes crazy ideas come to fruition! This concept for a pivoting museum door/wall was framed up about 6 months ago on a restaurant napkin. Today, we tested the prototype and so far - wow! Even Peep approved!
