*Purification* is a dark concept album about childhood trauma, abuse, abandonment, addiction, psychological fragmentation, rage, and the struggle to reclaim an identity built around survival.

Across the album, the narrator confronts the people and experiences that shaped his damaged sense of self. He examines maternal neglect, sexual abuse, mental instability, emotional isolation, and the lasting belief that love, trust, and safety are illusions. Recurring images of scars, infection, cages, stitches, broken reflections, and buried identities create a unified portrait of a man trying to understand whether he was born broken or deliberately made that way.

The album does not present healing as peaceful or complete. Instead, it portrays recovery as a violent internal confrontation with the person trauma demanded the narrator become. By the final track, he symbolically kills and buries that survival-driven identity—not to erase the past, but to stop allowing it to control his future.

*Purification* is ultimately about exposure, confrontation, and self-reclamation. It is the story of a broken man refusing to remain the person his pain created.

Misanthropik Torment is not a traditional band. It is a deeply personal multimedia project created by lyricist, vocalist, and writer Erik Leviathan.

Through music, visual art, and an ongoing narrative, Erik places his own image, experiences, and life story at the center of the project. Misanthropik Torment explores trauma, survival, isolation, anger, psychological collapse, and the struggle to remain human in a world shaped by cruelty.

All lyrics, concepts, stories, and vocals are created and performed by Erik Leviathan. Artificial intelligence is used as a production tool to help build the instrumentation, atmosphere, and visual world needed to match his vision. The purpose of AI within the project is not to replace the artist, but to help translate the sound and imagery in Erik’s mind into a complete artistic experience.

Misanthropik Torment depicts the origins, transformation, and inner world of its central character through a combination of extreme music, cinematic artwork, and autobiographical storytelling.

This is not a band. This is a project. This is a life story transformed into art.
