Your CRM is probably lying to you.

Not maliciously. Just quietly. A lead gets captured, a follow-up gets missed, a stage sits untouched, and nobody notices until the quarter is already ugly.

That is revenue leakage. And it shows up long before it shows up in the numbers.

If your team is working hard but growth still feels stuck, the problem is often not effort. It is the system around the effort.

What is the first leak you would check in your process?

RevOps is not an enterprise-only fix.

If leads are slipping, follow-up is slow, and the CRM does not match reality, you already have a RevOps problem. Hiring one person will not fix broken process by itself.

What usually works first is visibility, clean handoffs, and a system your team can actually use on Monday.

The metric that exposes hidden revenue leaks.

It is not just pipeline value. It is lead response time. If a lead waits too long, the deal usually starts slipping before anyone notices.

We see this a lot. The fix is simple to start, but the real win is making it consistent across the whole follow-up process.

Most CRMs fail quietly before they break.

I’ve seen it happen when lead follow-up is inconsistent, pipeline stages mean different things to different people, and everyone assumes somebody else is watching it. The business keeps moving, but revenue leaks out in the gaps.

If your team is growing and the system still feels held together with reminders and good intentions, that is usually the real problem. Want me to break down the first places I look?

They were losing revenue in plain sight.

Not from bad sales. From broken follow-up, messy CRM data, and deals that sat too long without a next step.

In 90 days, the system was cleaned up enough to stop the leak and give leadership a pipeline they could actually trust. That is the difference between “we think we are on track” and knowing where revenue is going.

If your CRM feels busy but the numbers still do not make sense, that is usually the problem.

Most CRMs don’t break all at once.

They quietly leak revenue for months.

"Working with DWD felt like having RevOps on staff, without the full-time hire."

If your team is growing but the process feels held together with duct tape, that’s usually where the leakage starts.

One metric exposes revenue leaks fast.

Track lead-to-close rate by source, then compare it by rep and by stage. If one channel looks busy but closes poorly, or one stage keeps stalling, you’ve found the break.

That single view tells you more than a messy CRM ever will.

A commercial insurance broker was growing 20 percent year over year. Their close rate was quietly declining.

More leads, fewer wins. The instinct was to bring on another salesperson.

We looked at the actual process first. Leads were coming in faster than the team could action them, and the follow-up cadence was inconsistent across reps. The fix was not headcount. It was a clean handoff protocol and an automated follow-up sequence.

Revenue per lead went up. The next hire they made was in ops, not sales.

When growth starts exposing gaps, more people are rarely the answer. What does your lead-to-close process actually look like right now?

A broken CRM is not your only problem.

If leads are coming in but deals still slip away, the leak is usually in the process, not the software. Fix the system first, then the tools start working the way they should.

That is where RevOps actually matters. If this feels familiar, what is the first place you would look?

If your best salesperson spends half the day updating notes, chasing context, and fixing missing data, that is not a people problem.

That is an ops problem.

Good process should make selling easier, not bury it under admin work.
