Even though yesterday was national battery day, keep in mind we currently recycle most batteries including lithium ion, ni cad, car/truck batteries, lawn equipment/tractor batteries and also backup batteries! Why waste money on hazardous waste collection or play around with scheduling weeks through a collection program? Please note items containing batteries (ex: rechargeable vacuums and power tools) must not contain batteries! Batteries can cause a major fire if not handled correctly, therefore must be separated to be sold to our scrap metal processor

We do our best to make sure that scheduling is quick and easy! Keep in mind to include the following information when you schedule:
✅detailed list of item(s) needed collected
✅address of the collection
✅any bags needed for small items (screws, nails, hardware, etc) in larger quantities (buckets, boxes, etc.) they can be requested to be dropped off or mailed prior to pickup and free (up to three per collection)
✅DO NOT place items at or near the curb! However please place items in an easily accessible location. A dolly can be put on my truck for the day if needed
❗️some items such as TVS and monitors, propane tanks, items containing rechargeable batteries, gasoline cans, painted/coated fencing (galvanized is ok), glass, wood, trash are NOT acceptable

Cheers to 15 years! Today is the official mark of 15 years. Starting as a small operation in 2010, recently growing bigger than ever and now one of the largest small scale independent scrap metal processors in western Pennsylvania serving many business, apartment complexes, cleanout and demolition companies, contractors, and homes in the area, diverting millions of pounds of metal from landfills and I couldn’t be any more thankful because all the money received is used to help start a future business I have wanted to start since I was young. I will be introducing a new logo coming soon as well. I personally want to thank everyone who helped get me this far and continue to grow every day.

Effective today, all small items as well as screws and nails etc. must be bagged. Typically preferred in buckets and other sturdy containers, please place the whole bucket and items in the bag, or if necessary, place the contents in the bag however buckets are preferred. Please note, the bags must be at least 3-4 mil. Thick and clear is preferred, because I as well as the processing facilities I use, must be able to see the contents to make sure there is nothing that is not acceptable. Please note, other items that must be bagged are (separately) : gun shells, turnings (do not mix materials), and other small parts. Bags (up to 3 per pickup) can be provided at no cost solely for the use in picking up the items and MUST BE REQUESTED IN ADVANCE. Please do not overload the bags. If any questions, or to request bags, or schedule a pickup, please don’t hesitate to reach out! Thank you!

As some people already know, unfortunately my truck is out of service right now. I’m trying to make sure everything gets taken care of as soon as possible and I understand urgency and keeping a prompt schedule for picking up. As an update the dealer was supposed to check it out on Thursday however they got behind schedule and couldn’t get it in so it will be going in Monday and I don’t know how long it will take to get repaired, shouldn’t be too long to repair but depending on how soon they can receive the parts to repair the transmission under warranty. I appreciate everyone’s understanding and cooperation and I will keep everyone updated as best as possible. Unfortunately scheduling is going to be a little behind but can start scheduling soon. Typically I rent a truck when mine is out of service a while but unfortunately the cost of rental trucks has rose to the point where it would cost me to do everything. I sincerely apologize for any inconvenience and look forward to getting running again.

Acceptable items: Major appliances, Aluminum Cans, metal car parts, drums/rotors, bed frames, grills, metal patio furniture, lawn mowers, bicycles, fitness equipment, and more!
I do not accept:Car tires, coated/painted fencing (galvanized is ok), TVs, propane tanks, gasoline cans, glass etc
*may charge fee for anything needing removal from in the home if not easily accessible or steps.
