Due to the outpouring of support by sponsors and donors for this year’s Adelphoi Showcase of Stars: The Power of the Promise event held back in May, a substantial contribution of $30,000 was made to the Adelphoi Promise on July 3rd. We’re absolutely thrilled by how many Adelphoi Promise students’ lives will be changed because of this investment in their futures!

The Adelphoi Promise scholarship program provides support – financial, life skills, and academic – to students who have successfully completed an Adelphoi program by offering tuition assistance at one of nine partner community colleges. Yesterday, I asked about people's favorite resilience strategy which could have been getting ahead of your challenges or stressors, dealing with them more effectively in real time or learning the most you can from them after the adversity has passed.
While all are important for an overall resilience approach, by far being prepared through planning, inoculation, or building hardiness is the best approach. You can't always predict when stressful events will occur for everything, but you can for lots of things.
